Yeah, Emma just needs to go. They ruined her character seasons ago, so it just needs to be done. They don’t care about the integrity of their story and their characterization. They are just trying to keep people watching, so they can make money. That’s it.

This is why a writer sometimes needs to kill a character because showing them walking away from their family is worse then them dying.

This was the reason that Shonda Rymes gave about Killing Derek, she said that no way Derek would abandon his kids and Mer, no way would be possible for him to simply find another job and go away without seem that he was selfish, so the only way she had to honor the character without destroying it was killing him.

But then again A&E are not shonda and they will never get to her level, they are not brave enough to go against a group of fans that after next episode wont see the show anymore and that will bully Adam on twiter for him to convince JMo to come back.

But i almost bet that they will show Emma wanting to stay , but Henry sending her away to protect her and the child, so everyone will say, see she didn’t abandoned Henry when he needed it, she went away bc he asked her to go away. Which we all know the old Emma would not accept, not even snow would accept that, heck she took baby Neal to Camelot to save Emma. In the end is still Emma choice no matter how they show it.

Exactly, no matter what the dialogue, whatever silly thing happens, it is Emma’s choice. Hook doesn’t get to tell her she needs to rest. There is no excuse they can give that will make sense here. Whatever happens will be out of character to the extreme. At least, it will finally be over.

I’m trying to see what right minded mother would let any man keep her from checking on her child, whose calling for her help. Damn the fact Hook’s your husband, Henry is your child! Someone please file a missing report on Season 1 Emma because this new one is a fake!

At least Neal died a hero who didn’t abandon Henry. Sheesh! All the writers care about now is the cash cow. That is why they kept all the “fan favorites” and the eye candy (aka Colin) even though his purpose was done as soon as JMo left. The showrunners are scared silly that no one will want to watch their show and then they’ll be jobless because all of their other attempts at writing a show have bombed. Without the help of their mentor, Damon Lindelof, they’ll have a tough time ever crafting another successful show again.
