ParticipantWell, that sounds about right in the ouat of after quiet minds. Villians like hook get married to a princesss and heroes like rumple lose all of their loved ones. Exactly a s peter pan always wanted. Start with bae, then kill belle.

KeymasterTo be fair, Belle died at a very old age and died in a heartbreakingly beautiful episode that showed how Rumple could be a good man without magic and how all he needed was an everlasting love like that between him and Belle to overcome his addiction to the Darkness. It’s not like with Nealfire in that she was killed by some villain…

ParticipantYou know, they could still change it, though. Everything tht happened between 3b and now could have just been a nightmare that maybe Rumple is having in hell. Maybe he is still dead but in his personal hell he is suffering 1 the loss of his son, 2 being controled by his dagger, 3 trying to be rid of the darkness only to have it attach itself to the savior of all people, 4 Hook stealing not only Bae’s mother from him, but his chhild’s mother as well, this could just be all of his worst fears realized, and even in his nightmare if a dream could be sweet and he has Belle by his side for years, he would still watch her die and lose her while he lives in hell forever. All this could be one big nightmare, while in real life, Emma and Neal are hapoily married and having more babies because all of the suff with zelena that brought storybrooke back did happen, maybe, but without Rumple being alive. He stayed dead throughout all of those stories and Baelfire was alive and happily reuniting with Emma, Hennry, (and Regina).

ParticipantThey could still fix it by just having Neal not be dead. They left his body unattended in the forest moments after he died. Rumpel could have not really taken that out of character memory potion at the end of Season 3. It would be so easy for them to just pretend that it didn’t happen. They wouldn’t even have to do anything all that convoluted. They could just have Neal show up and say someone saved me, but i got stuck in another realm.
They aren’t going to do that though. They are all in on what they have written and they are sticking too it. Just based on how badly Eddy behaves in interviews proves how stubborn he is and how much he doesn’t care about the integrity of his story. He wants us all to like it and he thinks we are stupid because we don’t. It is really that simple.
PS. Also, that doesn’t really fix it. They can’t write four seasons of terribly written, plot heavy, non existent character development, misogynistic seasons, and then fix it in a trick at the end of the series. Nothing can fix the show now. That has been true for years and years.

KeymasterLike I sometimes say…with this show anything is 100% possible. But that doesn’t make it probable.
And I also agree with HJ that doing a sudden about face doesn’t actually fix the show. I still sat through those four seasons of bad writing and while an ending that states those four seasons “didn’t really happen” might make me laugh out loud it doesn’t change the fact that they still chose to tell those four years worth of stories.

ParticipantHas anyone watched the show called “Episodes”?
I binge watched it a couple of weeks ago. That was what got me interested in news about ouat.
I haven’t thought about this show for years. After the 5th season when they all went to the land of the dead and STILL Neal wasn’t brought back, I just gave up and let go completely.
The I watched this series called “Episodes” which I highly recommend (it was recommended to me by Netflix) and it really got me thinking:
In the show, two writers are writing a TV show that has been picked up by some network. Those writers had a GREAT show, but to make a long story short, the network ruined it completely until the show had to be cancelled.
First they forced an actor on them. (it made me think that maybe Hook was forced on A&E?)
Then one thing led to another, until the show was unrecognizable from the original one they were making. Also, politics like a network dislikes an actor, and forces the writers to write him off the show (which made me think of Neal?)
I don’t know how it went at ABC and regular audience will never ever be told, but according that show “Episodes” you get a lot of inside information on how a TV show gets ruined. And sometimes, the writers could be brilliant as A&E proved to be in the second and half of third season, but it will still be crap if the network mixes in too much.
So the reason i got some small hope is because no matter how much the network might hate Neal or love Hook, if the show was cancelled, shouldn’t the writers be allowed to bring whoeevr they want for the finale and fimish THEIR story however they want?

Sure. and quite a few dead character are returning for the finale but the other issue if MRJ himself; he’s still filming something across the pond right now, if I recall correctly and I’m not so sure if he’d want to come back anyway. He gave an interview not long ago about the toxicity of OUAT fandom and the shipping wars. Coming back and more or less upsetting what CSers see as a happy ending (marriage, baby) is only going to produce untold rage at him and if I were him, I’d stay well clear of it.

ParticipantExactly Rumpelsgirl. Even if they do a random weird ending, we had to sit through those four terrible seasons, so there is just no fixing the show, in my opinion. It would totally make me laugh though if they did that and it is possible because any random nonsense is possible on this show.

Deader than dead characters, even.
