Snow’s been getting a lot of hate from the fandom this season in regards to CSF for “pushing” Emma at Neal but Snow only knows the following:
–Emma (by her own declaration) has always and will always love Neal
–Neal was dead and is now alive
–Emma and Hook kissed
–Emma (by her own declaration TWICE) said that the kiss meant nothing but because it had been awhile and she was feeling good.
You put these things together and what conclusion should Snow draw? This isn’t a case of Snow saying that 2+2=5 but rather that she’s making a logical inference based on the information she has at hand.
And Charming is just being DaddyCharming. He just wants her to have moments. He won’t steer her away from Hook and he won’t push her towards Neal but he and Emma have a totally different dynamic. She doesn’t go to him with boy problems like she did with Snow (cause Snow was MM first for Emma and secondly, what girl goes to daddy with boy problems?! Pretty sure my dad’s solution to my boy problems was always, “no dating until your 30″)
Totally agree! They are just going off of what Emma has told them. But I have a question(s), if Emma is really start to feel something for Hook, why hasn’t she talked to Snow about it? Does she think Snow will not understand? Does she think Snow will just dismiss her feelings and say she needs to be with Hook? Is Emma afraid to admit she has feelings for him or is she genuinely confused? Or does she not have feelings for Hook? Thoughts?

I think it’s a bit of everything. Despite their mother daughter relationship being wonky, Emma did talk to Snow about Hook and the kiss. I think that shows Emma knows she and Snow can still have honest conversations. If Emma did go to Snow and say “I think I have feelings for Hook,” I don’t think Snow would dismiss them; as of 305, Snow was raising her glass of rum to Hook along with everyone else. So I think Emma is genuinely confused because she has something for Hook but she has no idea what those feelings are and then every time she thinks maybe she can figure out her love life, something else happens. Hopefully once Pan is taken care of and she’s out of mind twisty NL for longer than 24 hours, Emma can both be the savior and think things through.
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"I don’t see Snow as pushing her to Neal, more as a mother encouraging her daughter that she to can and deserve happiness. Snow just thinks that Emma feels that Neal and Henry being together is Emma’s happy ending. Remember how broken she was when she return in after losing Neal to the portal. They saw how much their daughter loved Neal. And Emma has influence on their perceptions.
I like to add that its not them thinking Neal is better than Hook or Neal is whats best for their daughter. Its them thinking that Emma LOVES Neal, which she does. If Emma had no feelings for Neal, they would back off and let her be."I will be kind but I will speak my mind."
My mind ramblings:
I like to think that Swanfire family true love will help saved the day. I have a headcanon-wished that Neal try to sacrifice himself yet again for his family and love ones, but Emma says not this time, where you I go and Henry will rush in with them. Then we hear these three lines coming from our family trio, Neal “Love is sacrifice”, Emma, “Love is staying together”, Henry, “Love is hope.” which leads with the rest of the Charmingmillsiltskin family & friends to stand up against the big bad (Chernabog) with the SwanfireFamily and the light of all of their true love combined destroyed the darkness of Chernabog? Then it ends with something along these lines from Everafter from Henry to his great grandchildren with his book “And, while the lost boy and the lost girl did live happily ever after, the point, dearies, is that they lived.”
Yayyyy family feels I’ll go cry now.
