THIS, SO MUCH! It was pretty much a direct copy of the belief that Belle had for a future with Rumple. So, yeah, whatever may come in the meantime, I’d bet ALL the cookies that we’re gonna get a Rumbelle-esque reunion for SF at some point.

I’m getting sick all ready of the CS parallels and the episode has only been over for a half hour. I find it bad writing, too. I just don’t see chemistry between them. CaptainFairy actually had it coming out the wazoo…even if you don’t ship it, it was strong. But I just don’t get that spark with Emma and Hook and I’m glad I have you guys because sometimes I wonder what I’m missing that the rest of fandom sees. I’m just getting this niggling feeling that Neal and Snowing sent Hook there. I don’t know why or how, but I get that feeling. At least we got a hug at the end. *so full of emotion* Of course Neal sent Hook! Emma didn’t show up for “lunch”, so he obviously must think that she didn’t go because she has feelings for Hook. Classic romantic storytelling! He must think that since Emma chose Hook, Hook must be the one to go back and find her to save them all. If only Emma had taken her moment to be happy.
I will say I was really disappointed with the way Emma said goodbye to Neal, BUT that actually makes me more hopeful. It sounds weird, but the more they try to downplay Swanfire, the more I think they’re trying to get the viewers to root for them.

he ONE PERSON, the ONLY PERSON, in FT land right now that Emma will know right off the bat is Neal. He’s still Henry’s father and their past history is still her history too,

I just realized that with Emma having false memories it means she doesn’t remember 1) meeting Neal again in 2×14 so she should still have the swan pendant 2) she probably still thinks Neal left her for no good reason
And THIS is why Hook is the one who was sent back to find Emma. Because if she still has all her anti-Neal-feels, there’s no way he’d ever be able to get through to her.

good point. He sends Hook becuase Neal thinks that is what Emma wants. He is being respectful. And Neal knows that Emma doesn’t have the memories their reunion, so all Emma knows is that he’s the guy who left her with Henry.

YES! Neal assumes that Emma has made her choice regarding him. You’re probably right on the money about Neal assuming Hook is Emma’s chance at a happy ending.

YES again! Neal probably still thinks that Emma would never forgive him again. Ugh! The pain! The feels! The love Neal has for Emma is so great if he just wants Emma to be happy, even if it’s not with him! Little does he know the CS kiss didn’t work….

Of course Neal sent Hook! Emma didn’t show up for “lunch”, so he must think she chose Hook, and he said he wouldn’t bother her anymore. I will say I was disappointed with Emma’s goodbye to Neal, but it actually makes me surprisingly hopeful. The more they try to downplay Swanfire, the more I think that is the ultimate endgame. I don’t think Hook is going to be able to get help her get her memories back without some sort of magical help.. hint.. (cant remember how to do spoilers) TLK only works if: a) you were in love before you lost your memories b) that person can make you fall in love again c) you were *both* in love at the same time
