ParticipantEven when cursed, Emma makes similar decisions as Neal. And then we have the song that played in “Broken” playing at the end of “Going Home.” I think this shows just how similar Neal and Emma. Two halves of a hole. Soulmates. True love. Going home. To each other.
They could have had her living anywhere. Back in Boston in her old apartment there would have made the most sense. But nope, they had her living in NYC, same as Neal. They’re so completely meant to be, like you say, two halves of the whole.
Is it March yet? How about now? NOW?! I have a MIGHTY NEED to see CursedEmma walk into Neal’s apartment and see their dreamcatcher!

ParticipantHere is another Rumbelle/Swanfire parallel. This one hit me like a ton of bricks!

ParticipantMore hope for SwanFire and the swan pendant.

*Believe in second chances*
I had noticed that she was still wearing Graham’s shoelace! Another little hint to show that if someone had something physically with them when the Curse hit, they kept it with them. And my headcanon has been that Neal’s had that swan pendant on him 24/7 since he picked it up in the bar.

Emma even says when talking to Snow that if she had kept Henry she could be living anywhere “like Boston or..I don’t know”
But no. She’s living in NYC.

I had *just* stopped crying from the last time

He saved us. 🙁
He is so proud of his papa. His papa is a savior. Just like the woman he loves

ParticipantOK, I’ve finally caught up with everyone else and now that I’ve mopped up my tears for about the 15th time tonight (youth group was VERY emotional for me tonight with a lot of tears and OUAT making me cry has severely dehydrated me now, LOL), I think I can make a few random comments. I apologize if these are duplicates…I’ve been reading here but skimming slightly too so I didn’t get too spoiled on something before I saw it. 😉
Everything now makes a heck of a lot more sense after watching the entire episode (and I did rewatch the stuff I saw in real time to put in in better context) and I have SO many feels on so many levels. Personally, I loved the themes of hope that each flashback gave us but especially the ones with Rumple and Snowing (Rumple never lost the hope of finding Bae someday and Snowing had to have hope that their daughter would find them) because they were related to family. Family is what this entire show is all about regardless of whatever crap ABC is trying to promote each week. Family, hope, happy endings….these are the main things the entire show is built around and even though it looks totally bleak from our ship’s standpoint, I’m with whoever said up a few pages that things couldn’t look more rosy for SwanFire right now and I have a few reasons why…
Let’s look at those three things a littler closer first and how they still need to be resolved for SF. Hope? Got it. Neal has to have hope that he will see Emma and Henry again and he’s not about give up hope that easily here. Family? That’s his only family (til they find Rumple anyway) and he’s all ready determined that he’s going to do whatever it takes to get them back. Happy endings? He still doesn’t have one and even though it looks great for Emma & Henry in NYC, they’re still separated from their family and need to be with them. It’s great to see that Emma turned her life around and was able to make a home for Henry, but it’s NOT REAL and it never really happened. I don’t know about you guys but I’m not sure how I feel about these new memories. Remember what Grumpy said in season one? Something about how his experiences and pains make him who he is and right now, Emma & Henry are NOT who they’re supposed to be. I do wonder if their curse breaking will leave them like the others are now with both their fake and their real memories intact. That would be really interesting to see but at the same time, I think it would be more heartbreak than I could handle for them because they’d both remember all that good stuff but at the same time, know that it never really happened for them. Maybe they’ll just remember the year since they left Storybrooke but lose the other memories when their curse breaks? I don’t know. I’m conflicted here but I do firmly believe something is going to give them their real memories back and somehow, they’ll all find each other again. “Family always finds each other.” Isn’t that what the show keeps preaching?! Obstacles are what make couples grow and get closer together and this one might look totally crazy right now but so did a curse being put upon an entire town of fairy tale characters in season one and we all know what happened there. 😉
The other thing that gives me hope was mentioned up above somewhere too…that Emma went over to Neal to talk to him before she left (EPIC HUG IS EPIC) but Hook had to actually go over and stop Emma to talk to her. She was going to leave without saying anything to him. That was a really big thing to me and no one will ever convince me that wasn’t on purpose. I also loved Neal’s faith that he would see both of them again. YES YOU WILL PUPPY NEAL…please don’t look sad! *pardon me while I bawl again* 🙁
The other thing I wanted to mention that gives me hope is that CS may really happen while Emma is in a cursed state. They can actually avoid talking about any of Hook’s flaws with Emma because she seriously doesn’t know them or remember what all he’s done to her, but if he does start up something with her while she’s in that state, it’s not going to be pretty when she’s not cursed anymore and while the other stuff may bother her (especially if she FINALLY learns about Milah and when Hook abandoned Neal to NL), I think the bigger thing that may bother her is that Hook went after her knowing she wasn’t in her right mind. I can’t see Neal doing anything to cause Emma more harm right now because he’ll understand she’s not really her and that her memories of him are only the bad ones right now. Add to this that CS seems apparent to happen first somehow, I think it was Phee who said this but until you go through both ships, you really can’t establish which one will be endgame. SF happening last doesn’t have to be that way but it does make things look much better for our ship since it means the other one has to end! #HopeforSwanFire better trend HARDCORE in the second half of this season! l;)
Random Moment of Glee: I may or may not have cheered when Emma kicked Hook in his special place after he kissed her in the NYC scene. 😉
BTW-I LOVE that the dreamcatcher scene from the promo is a new scene!!! Thanks to whoever pointed that out! I’m so discombobulated right now that I can’t remember who posted what anymore, LOL 😆

ParticipantThanks RG and sorry I forgot to spoiler out that last part. I was typing fast, incoherently, and rambly and I totally forgot about it being in the promo (aka, a spoiler). I feel like I need about a week to process this episode but I think having twelve of them instead is a little too much. I refuse to wish away my vacation to Boston next month, the Olympics, and the start of spring training for my Reds, but DANGIT ALL TO HECK, this is going to be along hiatus!!!! 🙁
LOVE the GIF of Neal talking about his papa being a hero. Hits me right in the feels too and that man can seriously do more things with just his voice than some actors can do with their entire body. He was proud of his papa but you could totally feel his pain too. WAAAAAAHHH!! 🙁
