I also disliked the flashbacks as unnecessary rather than present day development of those same points, which would have been more meaningful. Why did we need to see Smee, only to make it seem confusing as if Hook and Smee just got off the boat, even though we know Tink arrived hundreds of years later timeline wise?

That flashback made me hit my head over and over. It totally screws the tword

Now reading through all the observations I realize there were more SF things than I thought the first time round, but it still read very much ‘CS is on deck” to me, which I knew they wouldn’t tilt the score all the way to one ship or the other. They want to have people return in the spring, but I almost felt they’d gone so far CS that it was whiplash from the episode before.

Agreed. I feel better now than I did last night after a lot of people posted things. But….yeah. Hunker down guys.

If you haven’t figured it out yet, this ship is angsty and is not meant for a weak-hearted shipper. So do not worry people. This separation, the fact that it’s not Neal at Emma’s door is once again… a good thing.

No white flag. Now or ever. I’m here on this ship forever.

yeah as someone who ships Rumbelle devastatingly hard, I was not happy with that flashback. It could have been different or like KFC suggested. The only flashback that felt worthy was the book one.

I had a thought about 3×12. What Hook is following Emma and telling her that he has proof of the crazy things he is saying by trying this potion that he has or going to such and such apartment in Manhattan (Neal’s apartment) but she’s had enough of it and calls the cops on Hook and as he is being taken away, he tells her just go see the apartment, just look.  And while he is in jail, her curiosity gets the better of her and she does in fact go and see the apartment.  And finds the dream catcher and other stuff there and is in shock at starts to get images of Neal falling through the portal after being shot, of them meeting in Manhattan when she is looking for Rumple’s son, hugging after her confession in the caves, etc. or something like that.  Something starts to jog her memory enough that she starts to believe Hook and then bails him out and takes the potion.  So her hidden love for Neal starts to jog her memory and the blue potion finally unlocks the rest of her memories.  Thoughts? Other ideas?

Quite honestly, I don’t always handle angst very well because I’m such an emotional person and it usually rips my heart out and I can’t breathe for three days (why hello there current state of my heart and emotional well being…) but I know I have you guys here to help me through things with SwanFire so BRING IT ON. We’ve got this guys…just need to hang onto each other and to HOPE, you know, the main theme for the whole entire show.  😀 😀 😀 😀 😀

BTW-There’s a lot of pretty things on Tumblr today although most of the really great ones have been posted here all ready. The EPIC HUG (which I’ve decided I will refer to this way from now on) GIF is starting to make it’s rounds though so keep an eye out guys! I think this is a really beautiful idea and I’d love for it to play out that way. I do think Hook ends up in jail. We have pics of him being taken by police. But we also have pics of him with a blue potion

Based on how she was living, her interaction with Cursed!Henry Emma seems to be ok for herself. I think she struggled early on (or remembers struggling) but that in the end she did it all herself. But I think no orphan ever stop wanting to see their parents.

I agree. I think Emma is back to feeling a bit like that orphan girl who wondered why her parents and Neal would ever give her up. She doesn’t know anything yet about the dark curse being the reason that all of them let her go. As much as she loves her son and probably delights in having him with her, she’ll always have that nagging question of why? The question of one’s true identity and being both the good and the bad is a reoccurring theme (e.g. as Grumpy, David and Snow have all discovered). I think that having fake memories can be a blessing and a curse. It reminds me of the film “Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind” in which a man intentionally undergoes a medical experiment to forget the pain of heartbreak only to discover it comes with a cost. I recommend it, and I think that is what Emma is basically reliving. I really hope that Emma doesn’t forget who she is for too long, otherwise it’s going to be like skeptical Emma from S1 all over again. If and when Emma does recover her memories, she may better appreciate the truth now about why her parents and Neal let her go. It’s not because she’s unlovable; it’s actually because they loved her and wanted her to have her best chance. Yet, Emma regaining knowledge of the truth about having let Henry go and realizing her implanted memories are fake could be devastating for her. Imagine a mother discovering that the child she thinks she raised was actually given up by her for adoption! Talk about devastating!

Sometimes I wonder if that was A&E message to us SFers, “It’s not over.”

So what is Bae happiness, we already know to Bae that is Emma and Henry, his family.

So is A &E slipping in that his happiness with Emma and Henry is possible.

We have Regina who said there is not second chances but we know that there is a possibilty that she might getting a second chance at love.
So perhaps Neal is able to get his second chance with his family.

As for the flash backs I found them tender and they didn’t bother me. However what frustrates me is it was the perfect time for Emma/Neal flash back or just a plain on Neal flashback. I was disappointed that the writers didn’t fit in a Neal Flashback since his part of the equation and the reason for the curse. It would be nice to see a flash of Neal dreaming of a family or perhaps the day he decided to stop marking his time on Neverland, the moment he decided to fight against the machine & create the coconut candle, or him miserably over losing Emma as he stares at the dream catcher, perhaps shedding tears the same time Emma was shedding hers during the birthing scene with Henry.

sidenote: Emma drove off in the yellow bug with Henry to get away from the curse, the bug that Neal gave to her, the bug that brought our loves together. And she kept it still, even a year later and living in Manhattan she keeps that yellow bug. She could have given that bug up or sold it but she keeps it.

So yes CS may be happening first, but it will end with SF.

Because say what they want, that keychain is not gone. I don’t believe that the guy who kept the dream catcher will ever give up the swan keychain. And there is a reason for him to have it, its their version of chip cup and Snowing’s version of David’s mother’s ring. Also another symbol of their love, Henry, who has the heart of the truest believer and he believes that his parents will reunite and I believe with him.

SF is now at the David-Kathryn-MM part of the relationship. And I’m hoping that Hook will noticed the love that Emma and Neal share, like Kathryn realize with David and MM. And like Kathryn had her Fredrick, I think Hook has Tink

I can only imagine that it would be heartbreaking and devastating.  All those memories of being together not true.  Ugh.  That is going to hurt a lot.  I feel so bad that Emma will have to go through that pain.

Emma might start to entertain the notion Hook is telling the truth when she sees the dreamcatcher. But I don’t know if the dreamcatcher alone is enough to trigger her true memories, just as the chipped cup alone was not enough to trigger Belle’s memories in S2. “Lacey” still required the BF’s elixir in the cup to remember she was Belle. But the dreamcatcher could be how Emma discovers Neal sent Hook. Emma holding the dreamcatcher could be like a flash sequence like in 1×22 when Emma held the storybook and believed all the fairytales are actually true. But I don’t know if she’ll actually regain all her memories until she drinks the Blue Fairy’s potion.

That’s where I have issues too. Emma has all ready lived through so much pain and after they get their memories back in whatever way, that’s going to hit both her and Henry like a ton of bricks and I know I will not be emotionally ready to handle watching that. Hopefully it happens in a way where they can focus more on the year that they’ve spent together, happy and living in NYC and isn’t a made up memory for either of them, and realize that just because that one past wasn’t real, having happiness in their future is absolutely possible now that they’ve both experienced it on some level. Maybe it’s what makes Emma appreciate all the moments in her life like David told her and gives her the hope that she really can have a happy ending too. Maybe that’s what makes her fight for Neal? I don’t know. Three months to speculate…AUGH!!! 🙁

I have too much time on my hands today and need to get off this site. I seriously haven’t worked at all today! 😮
