I was thinking about a spoiler image from 3×12.

Knowing what we do now about the curse, Neal returned to the Enchanted Forest with the Charmings.

I was just thinking how distinguished Neal looks in this outfit, almost like a member of the gentry class. Do you think that Charming and Snow appoint him as nobleman? He probably inherited Rumple’s dark castle and fortune. His clothing appears expensive with the fine-woven cape and leather coat, gloves and suede pants. Also, Neal’s royal blue cape is almost suggests an elevation in his status from a peasant boy to a landed gentleman, perhaps even with a title! I was also thinking about the significance in coloration of Nealfire’s brown EF costume:

    Source:

The color brown is a serious, down-to-earth color signifying stability, structure and support.

Relating to the protection and support of the family unit, with a keen sense of duty and responsibility, brown takes its obligations seriously. It encourages a strong need for security and a sense of belonging, with family and friends being of utmost importance.

In the meaning of colors, brown is the color of material security and the accumulation of material possessions.

The color brown relates to quality in everything – a comfortable home, the best food and drink and loyal companionship. It is a color of physical comfort, simplicity and quality. From a negative perspective it can also give the impression of cheapness and stinginess in certain circumstances.

Brown is friendly and approachable. It is loyal, trustworthy and dependable in a practical and realistic way.

In color psychology, brown is honest, genuine and sincere. It relates to the hardworking, the industrious and reliable, with both feet planted firmly on the ground.

It is sensual, sensitive and warm, engulfing one in a feeling of calmness and comfort.
It is a practical and sensible color which implies common sense. It hides the dirt!

The color brown is associated with wholesome, natural and organic produce and anything related to the great outdoors, agriculture and farming.

Brown is a frugal color – it is not associated with frivolity, excess or waste in any form. While it is materialistic, it values quality above all else, and everything in moderation.

Some browns can show a degree of sophistication or elegance, depending on other colors associated with the brown. For example, brown with a soft white or ivory can appear stylish and classy, although more casual than black with soft white or ivory.

Brown suppresses the emotions, creating a safe haven from the stresses of the outside world within which problems can be contemplated and solved.

Brown is a color of structure, although by no means does it encourage perfectionism – rather it encourages orderliness and organization.

The color brown gives reassurance. It is quietly confident but never the life of the party! Brown does not seek attention – it prefers to stay in the background, allowing other colors around it to shine.

Brown is solid with strength and maturity. It prefers to function in its own safe little world – it is not carefree and spontaneous and doesn’t like surprises. It can be considered dull, boring and unexciting by many. In fact it is one of the least preferred colors in the western world, along with orange and yellow.

Doesn’t that description of brown line up exactly with Neal’s character? He’s loyal, sincere, warm, and practical. He doesn’t put on airs, but he looks to be a man of wealth now. He puts family first! I just wish Emma could take a gander at handsome Nealfire in his fairytale attire!

Oh Slurpeez I could see Snow & Charming taking Neal in as family because of Emma & Henry

I adore this idea, too! I would love to see Snow and David reach out to Neal, their last true connection to Emma and Henry. I hope he becomes like the son they never had! They can find out more about the life Emma had growing up without them from him. I also hope that Belle and Neal form a tight familial bond and that she’ll also be like a mother/sister figure to him.

YESSSSSSS. Neal is the only one who can tell Snow and Charming about their daughter. He can tell them how fun she was, how passionate, how she was ready to help him out in a crisis. How she was always brave. ONLY Neal can do that!

More BTS photos of MRJ and J-Mo. From Tumblr

“He keeps me laughing all day, literally”

“He is just one of those people.. he has the particular hability to sort of disarm me and keeps me laughing and i think that brings a really good side of Emma aswell”

“so i definetly look forward to do scenes when i know we are going to be working together”

Yes to character development–the pain is worth it if we get to see Neal connect to these others.

We know they will spend time on RH and Wicked, then Rapunzel, New Guy.  Though  I read a spoiler that Ausiello had said a new actor servant with french accent is being hired–could be Lumiere and Belle story maybe?   I don’t know how much room to get more tiny moments to tide us over versus just feeling like the writers are changing gears.

“If I had a world of my own, everything would be nonsense. Nothing would be what it is, because everything would be what it isn't. And contrary wise, what is, it wouldn't be. And what it wouldn't be, it would. You see?” -- Lewis Carroll, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland & Through the Looking-Glass

I just want it to be March already. Just wanna know what happens now. :-/

my super shippy prediction: Hook’s magic potion fails. It’s seeing the dreamcatcher that does the trick. It’s a last resort by Hook to get Emma to remember. Neal told Hook to take her to his place.

On something that Phee was saying a few pages ago, it’s my hope that over the last year Hook and Neal have come to at least some sort of understanding, if not actual friendship.

I seriously need for this to happen! Obviously Hook still had a streak of “I want Emma” in him because of the kiss attempt, but regardless, I really do hope that CaptainFire have become closer over the course of this year. I mean, it’s been A YEAR, so if there hasn’t been some sort of relationship development with those two, it’ll be a massive missed opportunity.

If he can’t be there with her, he can at least help Hook make her believe.

They’re always connected. They transcend worlds. Even when he can’t be there for her, he’s still there for her.

I also kind of hope that the minute everyone gets a handle on everything in the EF Neal is immediately off on some quest to try to get back to Emma and Henry (or is off on a quest with Belle to find Rumple, if they get a clue from somewhere that he’s not actually dead).

Oh I hope so! Love it when Neal is a man on a mission.

Also, I really really wish that before E&H had driven off across the town line Neal had gone over to the bug and at least touched it or something. Like a moment of remembrance of what it meant and everything that was being lost at that moment. Though if that had happened I probably would have sobbed.

I was bummed that we never got a moment of him recognising the Bug. Like, it sorta sticks out around town, so he HAD to have seen it. Didn’t even need him to say anything about it to her, they could have just had a reaction shot the first time he saw it, where he did a double take and then smiled sadly to himself.

PS. Welcome out of lurkdom! 🙂
