Could it be any clearer? Adam and Eddy are just having their “fun” teasing us with CS all the while keeping Emma and Neal apart, just like they do to most other couples who truly love each other (e.g. Snow and Charming, Rumple and Belle, Aurora and Philip)!

Favorite moment from 3.5. Its another bittersweet moment when Emma connected and empathized with what Bae went through. She understood him on such a deep level because she had walked in those shoes before.
I wish we could have a scene where Emma and Neal could talked about his cave of wonders.
Thinking about it retrospectively, Neverland allowed Emma to see another side of Neal that she never has been able to see before. It also allowed viewers (casual) to see how closely tied they were with each other.Another notable point was we had, Neal in another realm, Emma with her family and allies, and Henry trapped with Pan. So it wasn’t just Neal and Emma separated it was the whole family separated.

This thread is giving me a whole new perspective, and offering me a new vision of the Neal Emma relationship. I have to admit, I have one foot on the Neal ship and one foot on Hook’s ship. I’m waiting to see which one can bring a full beautiful happy smile to Emma, and then I’m hopping onboard.
She was genuinely happy and put all her faith and trust in a future with Neal. That’s the last time I saw her truly free and happy. I’m waiting for that smile to return. Not a fleeting smile, not a relieved smile, but a free open and genuinely happy smile that includes joy for today and hope for the future. Whoever brings her joy and happiness is who I’m rooting for. In short, I’m just rooting for Emma.
I think in the end members of both ships are doing that. We all ship Emma with happiness cause the girl deserves it. It’s just that we have a different view on what that means for her.

Indeed, that quote does seem pretty straight forward. And it’s not like it was just randomly chosen words in the interview, because we’ve seen Emma saying (multiple times) in the show since then that she loves him.

And for those firmly entrenched in a certain way of viewing Emma’s character, it’s gonna take some seriously creative writing to make us believe it if the opposing ship is the way they decide to take it. Lucky people like Cinders who are in the middle will just be able to go with the flow and enjoy it whatever the story ends up being.
