KeymasterA few moments before that, he’d said she could tell him anything, and she told him everything, and his instinct was to immediately hug her to let her know that it’s OK to feel what she feels and she can be honest with him without fear of judgement, because he just wants to support her.
She never has to hide from him. Even when it’s painful, she knows she can trust him. Implicitly
I’d love it if when the kiss does happen, it doesn’t get spoiled in the promo or sneak peeks. I say this as someone who lives for spoilers, but I’d love it if none of us knew that kiss was coming until we actually saw the ep and then *BOOM* (that’s the sound of thousands of SFers simultaneously falling to the floor).
Agreed. They’ll keep it under their hats

ParticipantI saw this one Ranisha, and I’ve missed replying to some things further up the chain.
I hope that things do not get spoiled either, because I feel it has more impact. Even though we do it to ourselves to speculate, react based on incomplete information it is still nice to be caught off guard with SF as it is closer to how I think Neal feels to Emma. He just surprises her but it is generally positive, and they work through the bits that are not. He apologizes, and listens, perhaps internalizes it, she gets angry, vents but lets things go. They compliment each other because their fights really did not escalate as out of control as they could if they understood and cared about each other less. I don’t feel they have a toxic vibe to them where every conversation leaves one or the other hurt or annoyed in some way. Yes they have had emotional, angst filled things to discuss but there are hints that if they could get through the atermath of their fairytale and self-doubt , problems their dynamic together would be more lighthearted and supportive in general.
“If I had a world of my own, everything would be nonsense. Nothing would be what it is, because everything would be what it isn't. And contrary wise, what is, it wouldn't be. And what it wouldn't be, it would. You see?” -- Lewis Carroll, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland & Through the Looking-Glass

Excellent point.

KeymasterSo favorite 3×7 SF moment?
Well I really hated all the NL stuff in 3×7 but I did like how respectful Neal was. He thanked Hook for coming along to Dark Hollow; he apologized to Emma twice about the teenage boy angst.
And he and Emma sat side by side while even after the cave stuff. Comfortable with each other after all this time.

Yes, I did, and you made some excellent points! 🙂
“So for us it’s how do two people who love each other come together when there’s so much hurt?” – Eddy (from the Second Star To The Right podcast)
Pretty much Eddy telling us that we will get some pain in Swanfire but once they are all reunited in love their would be joy.
Yep. Between comments like this from the writers and comments in show about SF still each loving the other, it baffles me a bit whenever someone suggests that there’s no hope for them
It also reminds me of the time when she refer to Gold as her dad! Just like Neal and Emma said this little guy saved us to her fake pregnancy. Sentences like that are not just tossed in for no reason. I think it was little bit of foreshadowing by the writers. Perhaps some day Rumple will be a father law to Emma. And we already know Henry is saving his family and help bring them together!
I’ve always thought that the line about him being her father was hilariously perfect foreshadowing. And “the little guy saved us,” had to have been deliberate too IMO.
Another thing I notice during the dinner, Snowing was at the dinner, Rumbelle was at the dinner, Hook was sort of with Tink, Henry was with Regina. Emma and Neal were both alone. Neal in booth twiddling with his coffee mug and Emma at the beach fiddling with her phone. It makes me go hmmm.
Yeah it’s rather interesting how they set that sequence up, with Emma and Neal being the loners.

Yes and yes! Despite the brief lapse in maturity in Dark Hollow, Neal did the right thing and apologised for it. And I really loved how close they were sitting in the campsite. Emma could have been sitting anywhere, but she was sitting so close to Neal that they were practically in each other’s laps. Goes to show that despite the less than fluffy things said in the cave, they’re still fine with being close to each other, because they have the type of relationship where they can be brutally honest, without fear of it damaging their connection.

And Neal’s “let’s get out son back” shows that he too is focused on the mission at hand. They share common goals. It’s not about what happens after NL, it’s about this moment right here–saving Henry. Just like how the first thing Neal did when he got to NL was to form a plan to get Henry, NOT go after Emma and show her that he was alive. Son first, then the girl.

ParticipantWizard of Oz was on here tonight and of course I was watching it with a suspicious eye in case there was anything that could potentially be applied to OUAT. And Dorothy sure does mention home a lot. Home this, and home that, and I wanna go home, and no place like home. And I started to wonder, if they do Oz stuff in 3B, and if that includes Dorothy’s story and all the stuff about finding a way home, I wonder if that could perhaps bode well for them continuing that theme with SF reuniting.

Home is a central theme for Dorothy/Oz, for sure. An orphan who finds herself in a weird and complicated world with a tiny little sidekick who is doing nothing but search for her home, yeah there are some Emma/Dorothy parallels.
