PriceofMagic
ParticipantI thought I’d post this here. I know it’s not strictly SF but I found it funny

So favorite SF moment from 310?
I think mine is Neal asking Emma to lunch. I know many found it pushy but I didn’t. He didn’t actually use the word date, she did. He just said they should eat and talk, which is something they should do no matter what. They have a lot to discuss. Plus…PUPPY face Neal. đ Dat smile.

ParticipantIt’s going to be a long hiatus! I might take a long break because speculation ought to be fun, and it feels like right now, we’re just feeding off the same old scraps of information, and it is bringing out a certain amount false conviction that I just can’t even begin to spare the energy to discuss. It’s nothing new really, a lot of taking things way out of context and making wild leaps comparing two things while ignoring a lot of the differences.
My daughter had this book, called “Apples and Oranges, going bananas with pairs.”  It takes two things like say, how are a motorcycle and a bike alike? Then the page shows a picture of these two things in a bank with the caption “They both don’t work in a bank.” I feel a bit like that’s the level of comparison we’re dealing with. Lots of things are similar in some ways and different in others and without putting much thought into it, anyone can twist scenes to seem like they’re telling a story they aren’t really intended by the writers to tell.

uh-huh
I think that’s the mentality of a lot of us. We’re sort of exhausted and until there is something really new a lot of us are just sitting here waiting. So we discuss the same thing over and over and then it leads to arguments because people are determined that their headcanon is accurate and it’s taking a lot of fun out of speculating, which used to be my favorite part of this site.
Anyway. Big SF hugs to you all. #hope

And Emma’s little smile too, when he was ensuring her there was no pressure with the lunch “date”. She found the puppy just as adorable as the rest of us did. đ

Agreed.
Now that they’re back filming, I’m hoping we might get some fresh tidbits (not even shippy tidbits) to speculate over instead.

ParticipantI hope so, because really it is kind of fun to play the guessing game even if it sometimes spoils things (like Pan = Malcolm) that might have been a huge “didn’t see that coming but it totally makes sense” kind of shock.

KeymasterEven if he wasn’t Henry’s father I’d love Neal but I LOVE that the second he knew he was a father, he stepped up to the plate.
