*happy dancing because TWITTER PICS* 😀

I guess that brings me to my favorite SF moment of 311. Obviously the goodbye at the road. At the moment Emma needed hope the most, it was Neal who gave it to her. To declarations of undying love or pressure to remember him or anything too sentimental. He gave her the gift of hope.

And what do all happy endings begin with. Just sayin’.

And also, the fact that despite the fact that she has no connection to the city, somehow Emma ended up in NYC playing Charlie’s Girl.

The title for 3×11 is “Going Home” because the reversal of the curse meant everybody got sent home. And where did Emma end up? In NYC, the same place Neal recently called home. Why not Boston where Emma was living prior to SB? Because home is wherever Neal’s home is. That fact that Emma ended up in Manhattan even when cursed, plus the fact that she was listening to the same song Neal was in “Broken” really makes me SF is meant to be. That’s my theory, and I’m sticking with it.

Yep! Home is a big thing for SF. That’s what Tallahassee was gonna be for them. A real home is what they’d both longed for all their lives. And in the ep Going Home, two thirds of the SF Family ended up making their home in the city that the other third of the family had made his home. Emma’s tagline on her promo poster was about a lost girl finding her way home, and over the course of this season we’ve seen her seeing Neal reunite with his father, which made her reflect on her own reunion with her own parents. She found home in them, and then she lost it all, but she ended up where Neal’s home had been. None of this is coincidence.

    Hello!

    Welcome! 🙂

I’m just a loyal OUAT viewer- Don’t normally look at spoilers (until now!) and been seeing a few comments in this thread about what a casual viewer might think about the CSF love triangle. Just wanted to let you all know that until episode 5 (the CS kiss), I didn’t realize there was a love triangle- just thought that Emma and Neal NEEDED to find each other in Neverland and how tragic it was that she thought he was still dead. To me, I always thought Emma and Neal were endgame but can’t be together yet because… well most shows don’t put their endgame couple together without a few obstacles.

That’s pretty much how I’d figured the casual viewers would see the show, but it’s good to actually hear from someone who has actually been oblivious to any influence of the ship thing.

PS. Once you start on spoilers, they’re hard to quit. I thought I’d just peek at one little spoiler one time, and now spoilers are like air, I neeeeeed them. Don’t say you weren’t warned. LOL

And my mom and I watched all of season 3 over the holiday break (she hadn’t seen any season 3 episodes so we had a OUAT marathon!) and my mom had actually forgotten a lot of info from season 2 and somehow got it in her mind that Neal and Emma were married- she kept calling Neal Emma’s husband (lol).

Your mum doesn’t happen to be at all psychic, does she? 😉

What I really wanted to see was Neal’s little conversation with Henry once Emma started heading towards the bug. I love that father-son relationship, and wish they had shown what Neal told Henry, but I imagine Neal said “Don’t worry buddy- I’ll find you and your mom. Family always finds each other”. I know Neal was trying to keep things light so Henry would not get too worried. I think that it was so brave and selfless of Neal to do that so Henry could have hope to see him again. After watching the episode again I noticed that as Regina was telling Emma about escaping the curse and Snow is telling her that she has touched the lives of everyone there is a brief shot of Neal and his face as he is registering that Emma and Henry are leaving him. To me, there seems like panic in his eyes about losing the two people he loves most, but you can almost tell he is formulating some sort of plan right there to see them again.

Love your idea about what Neal would have said to Henry. He knew what Henry and Emma did and didn’t need in that moment, and he was gonna do whatever he could to try and make it even a teeny bit easier.

After Regina and Emma have been talking, and then Henry has to leave Neal’s side and walk over to his mothers, right after letting him go, Neal sorta half turns around to look over his shoulder for a moment. I think it was one of those instances where you have to look away for a moment if you want any hope of keeping your composure. If Neal just watched his kid walking away from him, he wouldn’t be able to deal, but he couldn’t break down in that moment because he had to stay strong for both Henry and Emma, so he had to turn his head away, just for that moment.

ETA something I realised right when I hit submit. Neal not being able to watch Henry walk away is similar to how Emma couldn’t look at newborn Henry. Both of them knew that if they looked in that moment, they wouldn’t be able to let him go.

Hmm. I suspect it may be HOPE. 🙂
