Well in all honnesty, the reason I thought “Hook” first is because I don’t see his purpose anymoere, appart from being Emma’s love interest. It’s not character bashing, maybe writing bashing though because I do think they could have done so much better with him. And to the person bringing up the all media focus before killing him, I did think of that too. Before reading her post. As for Neal, and really trying to be objective, if it’s him, then they should have let him die at season two finale. But apparently it’s also about an actor being fed up with his character so I don’t know. Though I guess we have to be careful with the PA’s words. Anyway, character wise I wouldn’t understand if Neal was killed. But once again, maybe I’m just biaised
[adrotate group="5"]OK, I think we’ve taken that PA way too literally since yesterday’s spoiler news broke. If I understand it correctly, the PA heard the spoiler about whoever is being written off the show and THEN made the flippant comment about how they didn’t think that person was happy anyway. We’ve somehow turned it into someone is leaving the show BECAUSE they’re unhappy with their storyline which, again if I’m understanding things correctly, isn’t actually what the tweets all said in the first place. So why are we all jumping to the conclusion that someone is unhappy with their storyline and wants off the show? That was never actually said by anyone. And I never got to read it but there was something else about a trailer being trashed? That could easily be explained by any number of cast members dogs since almost all of them have one and pets do go crazy if they’re left alone too long. Too many things are unconfirmed and total heresy so I’m taking those with a giant grain of salt. Anyway, maybe it really is a storyline dictated departure which leads me back to Hook who doesn’t really have as many important connections to the cast as the others (I count only one, Emma, because they totally dropped the ball on the CaptainFire stuff which is still something that bugs the crap out of me) and could totally complete a redemption arc with something big like that. At any rate, I think we should stop assuming someone is unhappy on the show (how would that PA know that anyway?! Aren’t PA’s working with Adam & Eddy mostly…who are located in CA last time I checked) and just go with what Adam has said about it being a storyline dictated departure. That makes more sense with everything we’ve heard and again, I really hope that PA is out of work because they caused way more drama in this entire spoiler thing than was necessary and I’m about 90% sure they did it all on purpose. Who tweets stuff like that without trying to get attention?!

I actually think the same, the whole fandom is going into fire more because of the PA’s words than the spoiler. And I don’t know the girl, it’s just words. I am saying this especially because she said the person was unhappy. But am I silly but it seemed to me MRJ is happy on set? He seems good friend with JMO for instance. God this spoiler sux, they dropped a bombshell. And yes : time for pretty stuff =)
I think everyone is happy on set. Colin, MRJ, Sean and Josh just tweeted pics about two weeks ago of them all together after work. I think they are all happy. So maybe the PA thing isn’t for this death. Everywhere I look, except here on this thread, they’re saying it’s Neal. Which just sucks. Why doesn’t HE get a happy ending???

Went to bed so upset last night and it was my first thought waking up too. 🙁 Bad times!! I hope its Hook because he basically has no purpose atm outside Emma. I do think it will be Neal though. Maybe this is the reason his back story has been delayed? Will we ever get it now?
Neal does have more connections that are of a family/positive variety. Rumple (and by extension Belle); Henry, Emma, Regina (by extension of Henry), Snow and Charming (by extension of Henry). But Hook doesn’t. He’s a potential love interest for Emma, mortal enemies of Rumple, indifferent to Belle and Regina (one of whom he has hurt many times), and does have a budding bromance with Charming but nothing beyond that. his whole arc this season was not as the sociopathic (Colin’s words) pirate but as a love interest. He never got to really be Captain Hook. But still…everyone outside of here says Neal. Even Screwball

Hook dying makes more sense storywise if what Adam says is true that it is story driven
