ParticipantSo happier spoiler talk, do you think Neal and Emma are going to have a chance for a happier reunion than last time b/c of that photo where Neal is in the background with Emily at the farm house?

ParticipantWe’re going to end up with pages of just black lines at this rate lol
I think emma may first see Neal without her memory then when she does get her memory back, she’ll see Neal again and Hook will realise that Emma truly loves Neal. Maybe Hook sacrifices his life because he loves Emma so much that he wants her to be happy, even if it’s not with him.

KeymasterI think the reunion will be quite epic. By that time I hope Emma has her memories back and so she’ll remember everything that happened in S2 and she’ll realize once again that she never stopped loving him.

Yes, I’m hoping that by the time Emma and Neal see each other again, they’ll realize they’re happier together than they are on their own or with other people. I’m longing for a joyous reunion! I don’t need kisses or ardent declarations of love. But a nice, genuine smile and a long hug would go a long way.

Agreed. We’re the slow smoulder build up ship. It doesn’t need to be leaping into each others. It’s general relief and happiness just to see each other again. And then falling back into working as a team, like normal.

ParticipantI thinks so too. J.Mo keeps talking about Neal in that Emma’s attracted to him and loves him, but there are emotional issues related to the past but also fear of the future. If the last half season was sort of facing issues of the past, then I think next half should be about the future, and we should see Emma moving past that fear. As she said to Charming that day on the beach, she felt like a magnet for trouble and she didn’t think she gets a day off. This time around, hopefully she’s realized day off or not, she’d rather have that day “on” the job as savior with Neal than not have him in her life because she’s just had that experience. She can have better perspective to shape what her happy ending might be.

Agreed. Emma is probably in a much better position now to analyze what she really wants out of life. She’s not in the same raw emotional state she was in during the NL arc. It’s been over a year since she thought Neal died and she has a second set of happy memories with Henry. She’ll always love Neal, of course, but it might not be as desperate as when she thought she’d lost him in 2×21; still, when she does get her memories back, she’ll remember all the things they went through again. She might be more receptive to Neal this time around because she’s in a much healthier emotional state overall.
Also, Emma’s new perspective might impact how she views Hook. The last time she saw him they’d just been through a turbulent, adrenaline fueled week in the jungle. She was emotionally very vulnerable and had no defenses since NL does that people. She was also grief-stricken at the time and looking for some sort of release, and kisses can often give a person a natural high. How Emma reacts to Hook when she gets her true memories back from drinking the potion will be very telling. If she realizes that she cares for him more deeply now than before, then so be it, but something tells me she might realize that come light of day, she sees things more clearly now. She’s probably very grateful to him for all of his help, but she might realize now that kiss really was just a heat-of-the-moment, adrenaline-fueled kiss.

I agree. this year as a normal-non savior-person is going to give her a fresh perspective on how much she really longs for a normal life, and more than that, that she can have it. It is possible.

Agreed. Hook wants adventure spitfire pirate-savior. Emma just wants to be Emma.
