He was supposed to be part of the live tweeting during the premiere but missed it due to flight problems getting home from Michigan. Phoenix, Palm Trees, and Swan Fire

The phoenix builds itself a nest on top of a palm tree with cinnamon bark, sets itself on fire, and is reborn.

In Greek the word phoenix can also be used for palm tree.

Florida’s state tree is the sabal palm.

The seed of the Palm Tree is the coconut. Nealfire had a picture of palm trees in his father’s hut and is holding a coconut in both NVLGroup photos

Phoenix is where Neal stole the watches. Phoenix is where Emma did time and gave birth. Tamara’s name, literally, means palm tree.

Swan Fire. The fire bird ship.

And just like the mythical fire bird, SwanFire will rise from the ashes! Seriously, there’s too much symbolism there for it to just all be coincidence. They’re totally planting hints that tie their story together.

I know!!!! And actually in one episode, Neal ordered Hot cocoa with cinnamon too. And Snow makes it for Emma.

I may or may not have just choked on my drink. How on Earth did I not know that?! Neal’s drink of choice is hot cocoa with cinnamon too?! Was it the same episode as when he was with Henry at Granny’s diner? When was that, “The Evil Queen?”

I’m actually fairly certain that it happened in Selfless Brave and True. I swear he asks Henry to go buy hot chocolate with cinnamon.

You’re right! Emma and Henry meet up with Neal in his room at the bed and breakfast, and he sends Henry off to the diner to get three cups of hot cocoa in 2×18.

I just found the scene from 2×18 when Neal requests three hot cocoas! Sadly, he doesn’t request cinnamon, but I’m betting that Henry added the cinnamon to all 3 drinks. I’m sooooo happy!
