So I debated posting this GIF set because on the whole I’m not a big fan of parallels to other shows that really have nothing to do with each other outside of what the audience sees. But the more I sat and looked at this and then rewatched one of the final scenes from FRINGE the more I knew I wanted to post it.

So for those of you who don’t know Fringe (spoiler alert) it was never really about the science or the mythology or the crazy things. It was always about Walter Bishop and his son Peter. Walter crossed words for Peter, looking for his child. He did horrible things (like breaking a world into two) in the name of his child. After a very long separation (because Walter was a power hungry mad scientist *cough* magician *cough*) when they finally find each other, Walter and Peter have nothing in common. There is no bond and way too much water under the bridge. Peter and Walter seem as though they’ll never reconcile. But in the end they do. Walter sacrifices himself for the world and the people he loves, especially his son so that Peter and Peter’s True Love, Olivia (a child of two worlds who has powers that enable her to move between those worlds) can be together with their daughter Henrietta (who in another timeline was named Henry…)

So here’s the GIF set and here is Walter and Peter’s goodbye which just manages to devastate me every time. There are so many Bae/Rumple and Peter/Walter (and even Peter/Olivia and Neal/Emma) parallels that I’m shocked I’ve never seen it before

Awww, that’s so cute! You made me go back and look at my first few posts on the forum and I realized that my 1 year anniversary is actually coming up next month (Feb. 23rd). I lurked a lot before I joined though so I’ve definitely been around much longer than that! 😀

My introduction post is still the ONLY thread that I’ve actually started here! I tend to reply to existing threads way more often and that’s cool with me. I hate trying to start topics because I never know what to say, LOL 😉 Honestly, finding other folks here who loved SwanFire was the main reason I ended up joining this forum. There were so few people back then who were rooting for them that I felt kind of lost in the fandom and I remember being SO happy when I found other folks who loved their story too. I’m so grateful for our little haven here! 😀

*hugs everyone and then passes out cookies and hot chocolate with cinnamon* 😀

Those walls of Emma’s. Gonna take some heavy FIRE to get through them.

(did you see what I did there?)

“Terriers” was just on here, it was the ep where MRJ’s character proposed, and it was kinda horrible because his girlfriend was pregnant, and he knows even though she hasn’t told him because he found the pregnancy test, but she’s cheated on him, so she doesn’t know who the father is, but she still accepted his proposal, and I was all, “Noooo, my poor puppy, you don’t wanna propose to that $&*#&.” But then I had some SF proposal feels creep into my head (he looks so Neal-ish, and he was down on one knee, I couldn’t help it) and OMG I need for that to happen some day, and I ended up with the warm fuzzies and just had to get it out of my system, hence this post.

PS. He’s really great in “Terriers”, I really need to track down all the eps, (didn’t realise they were showing it here until a few weeks ago), and I wanna see all his other work too because dammit he’s good at the acting thing.

Just finished watching the whole series on Netflix. I enjoyed it. I can see why they wanted MRJ to be Nealfire with how he played Britt.
