PriceofMagic
ParticipantI’m feeling 90% confident, it’s going to be Hook that dies. 318 may be the actual death but I think the end of 317 will have the fatal blow delivered, and since 317 is Hook’s centric, it only makes sense that we get his backstory as he dies.

ParticipantI want to hold onto hope that A&E would put more stock in a person like Neal’s earnest character, his good intentions, and his dream of a second chances with his family ahead of a character whose main selling point is his good looks. I just want to believe that substance and personal integrity are what count more than surface appearances. Could A&E really be selling the message that looks count for more than a selfless heart? I just can’t buy it if that is what they’re selling now. I think it would just backfire on them if that is honestly the direction they go in. I’m going to keep on hoping that Hook isn’t going to supplant Neal as a father-figure and love interest but until I hear of more MRJ sightings I’m going to feel down about the future of this show.

Keymastermy biggest irk about all this (ok, one of my biggest irks) is what this does to Henry. If SwanFire wasn’t going to be end game–whether CS was planned from the start or came about over the course of the show–then I’d deal. It wouldn’t change that they share a kid and will always be a family in some way. So while if Emma went with Hook, then fine. But there is just no legit reason to kill Neal. How is that bringing back the happy endings, which was Emma’s job as savior? If Neal dies, then Henry and Rumple are denied their happy endings. And in conjunction of Henry and Rumple, Regina and Belle must watch people they love suffer. And Emma would loose Neal all over again without working out their issues! I have to stop dwelling on this. I really do. But the idea that A and E kill Neal (bad enough all ready) and THEN supplant Hook into his place as father over the course of ONE episode is enough to gall me.

Agree, the thought that may happen on 316 and even on that episode he already on the beach with henry and on 317 they are walking together like a family in SB and even Henry is laughing and driving like nothing happens, makes me loose all the hope.
And Adam cannot say is story, because is not, this is or by request of the actor, by fan service or ABC pressure, if they go this wau, i hope the loose all their audience on P2, and that they not even deserve a S4.
And i see adam saying nospoilers and saying we have plans for that character and so on but if is Neal and since everyone already knows, i consider this a lack of respect for the fans not come and say it, if he spoil this because of the PA , just because she said something without even saying names, he could at least come and say it or say something and not just be rude to neal fans, and thank csers , not anwser or even say nospoilers.

ParticipantYou know … I said before that if Belle died, I would likely stop watching the show, but probably not if Neal died, although I’d be very, very disappointed. I’m a grown up, we don’t always get things to work out the way we want, I’d be upset if SwanFire didn’t happen, but I’m not telling this story.
I have to revise that now. If Neal dies and they simply let Hook quickly step in as father figure and love interest … just, no. 😛 It seem like insult on top of injury that so many people seem to adore Hook and dislike Neal, when I consider Neal so much more of an appealing character. One who just plain hasn’t gotten a chance prepared to Mr. Guyliner, beloved of ABC.
(I don’t truly dislike Hook, I don’t think he’s been used well either. I’d be just fine seeing him stick around in a different sort of way!)

KeymasterEmma Duck and Neal Duck
Neal Duck knew it was love from the start. Emma Duck wasn’t so sure
Neal Duck won Emma Duck over though. It was his bright and shiny beak!
What adventures will Emma Duck and Neal Duck go on??
Stay tuned….

KeymasterI have a headcanon that is probably 100% wrong, but screw it. I’m going to put it out there:
with all the talk of mermaids and Blackbeard, I went to look up a plot synopsis of “On Stranger Tides” because I’ve never seen it. This is from Wikipedia: Jack is taken aboard Blackbeard’s ship, the Queen Anne’s Revenge, and forced to lead the way to the Fountain and find two silver chalices that once belonged to Juan Ponce de León, both believed to be aboard his lost ship. The Fountain’s water must be drunk simultaneously from the two chalices. The person drinking from the chalice containing a mermaid’s tear has their life extended, while the other person dies, their life drained from their body and their remaining years ‘donated’ to the other. Meanwhile, Gibbs narrowly escapes execution by memorizing and destroying Jack’s map, forcing Barbossa to spare him so he could navigate to the Fountain.
WHAT IF–just what if—Neal DID DIE? But Hook decides to do an honorable thing and exchange his life for Neal’s by having Ariel bring Davy Jones/Blackbeard (the guardian of the deep and ferrymen of souls) to SB. They use Neal’s soul and Ariel’s tears like in the PotC movie to bring back Neal in exchange for Hook’s life. Hook tells Emma that he is doing te right thing, saving Baelfire–what he should have done all those years ago. His finale words are “I told you I could change” and then “Milah…”
probably 10000000000% wrong and it would only infuriate the fanbases but this is our haven so I put it out there

ParticipantThere’s so much spin from Adam, from fans, from the media that I don’t really know what to think now. Adam talks about how it is #truth that everyone gets along but then we see J.Mo “resenting” that Coleman spoke out of turn. I see the bad writing with plot points left unresolved, characters who flip flop, plot devices used to force conversations that the writers cannot figure out how to write naturally. Ory leaving because they dropped her plot line. Things side stepped or swept under a rug, because it would remind the casual audience of some less than pleasant aspect of a character’s nature. Maybe they won’t just kill Neal but do the recton of all retcons and he turns out not to really be Bae, but a conman who pretended to be Bae and fooled everyone as part of the home office and the REAL bae is still a cute teen tyke to be played by Dylan Schmidt who everyone loved who was cloned and kept hostage by the http://WWW. I think at this point I am anticipating watching only to “enjoy” it in the way Jo and RG enjoy Dracula (which I can’t even begin to start watching as it sounds too campy to even mock!). I’ll wait though until 3 episodes in I think.
