Not to be a contrarian, but I’m 99.95% certain that Neal lives. Too much of the foundation of the show would have to be altered in order to justify Neal’s death. Rumple’s entire series long arc would have to change and Rumple could never have his happy ending. I don’t care who’s on set or when. Neal lives. I will believe unless I’m shown otherwise on the show.

Thanks, Molly. I appreciate your contrariness. I agree that the writing would just have to do a total 180 if Neal were the one to go. It would be very damaging to so many characters and to the story if that were to really happen that I’d be saddened to stand by and watch.

@Molly: I do agree that it would be a 180 degree turn if they went and killed Neal. It undermines everything. But oh dear lord…do I want a pic of MRJ right now

Maybe someone could bring back that Rose McIver quote from several days ago in which she suggested that the heavy predictions aren’t right. And warning, if the unhappiness keeps up, I may have to break out into “Don’t Worry, Be Happy.” Nobody wants that. 🙂

Molly, I completely agree! It would just make so little sense for them to kill off Neal for so many reasons, so I’m honestly not worried just because we haven’t seen pics of him on set. What we do see set pics of is such a tiny amount of what’s actually in each ep. Like I said in the chat just before, just because we’ve only seen Bec Mader actually filming about 4 outdoor scenes, do we expect to only see her in 4 scenes in all the eps they’ve shot thus far? Of course not. So much more gets shot behind closed doors, so just because no one’s seen MRJ, that doesn’t mean he’s not still there and working. Honestly, if it’s Neal that dies, I’ll be legit shocked and they’ll have to do some incredibly creative writing for it to seem like a natural progression of the story, given what we’ve already seen. Neal is one of their few OCs, they wouldn’t just turn around and kill him off. And MRJ loves the character, he freaking talks about Neal in first person in interviews for freak’s sake, so I really can’t see him just wanting to up and leave the show. Seriously, nothing about the character of Neal biting the big one makes any sorta logical sense to me, so I can’t bring myself to be doom and gloom about it.

I think that A&E are fully into their mind games. MRJ might be kept under a low profile to heighten the shock factor for the spoilered people. Look at how many people will be surprised when Neal lives.
Look at how often Henry gets what he wants on the show, even if it’s not necessarily in the manner he had in mind. What could possibly be the justification for making Henry wish he had never sought out Emma to break the curse? Henry’s entire family will be a chaotic, big, sort of happy family by the time the series ends with Rumple’s wedding to Belle. With Neal as best man.
I stand by my theory that A&E are trying to make spoiler lovers regret ever asking for spoilers. It’s a world gone sideways when there’s more joy on Sleepy Hollow forums than OUAT forums.

@Phee @molly You’re right! No reason to fret just yet. The more spoiler pics roll in, the more relieved I’m actually becoming. At first we only heard about Hook, Emma and Henry sharing scenes, but then, low and behold we see Smee is there, too, and at the cannary of all places. Now, why would Smee, who was turned into a rat last I checked, be there too? And isn’t the canary where Greg and Tamara were hiding out and where Neal was shot and sent through the bean portal….It seems like there’s more going on than meets the eye. I just wish I knew what it was.

It’s actually scenes from the new Captain America movie (which somehow manages to make Sebastian Stan look ugly….WTH!?) but I will go all nutso on someone if that spoiler goes that way.
The more the ‘evidence’ that people claim to see about the spoiler that shall not be named, the more and more convinced I am that it won’t be Neal. There’s this whole decoy thing that happens with TV shows and I feel like they’re doing this with us right now. They KNOW we follow things like photos, set reports, Twitter, and fan reports…why would they put things out there that give things away so easily unless they’re trying to make us think one thing while doing something else? These guys wrote for Lost…they’re not stupid; no way is there anything concrete out there that gives this big of a spoiler away. I need more than random people with photos or people who claim to have seen this or that on set telling me so to believe that Neal is the one who dies. There aren’t nearly enough things being filmed outdoors to make me believe we’re seeing the whole picture right now. It wouldn’t surprise me at all to see all of this build up for Neal to die come crashing down when someone else ends up dying instead because that really would shake up the fandom. I wish someone didn’t have to die at all but my money, if Adam keeps maintaining that this is storyline related, is still on Hook being the death and him sacrificing himself somehow to save Neal or Rumple bringing his arc full circle with him finally doing something good for someone else without expecting anything in return.
I hate this spoiler with the fire of a thousand suns. WHY DID THEY DO THIS TO US???! *dies* 🙁
