KeymasterAnd his goodbye would be even more splashy, deep, and heartfelt with Emma and Henry. Don’t use words like this isn’t over, my second chance, a chance at happiness if you never intended on using it. That’s if its story driven and not a person quitting or being let go?? Just my two cents on this.
Yup.
Can someone tell me how Neal is not important to the story yet Hook is, beyond Emma & Love triangle, , where does his importance lies????? I’ve seen this argument before I am just like huh, what makes Hook more important to the story and family lines, heritages that the others bring to the table
I would have said with Rumple and Neal but they appear to have rug swept the whole CaptainFire story and the revenge story….so, I don’t know. I think he’s important to the story in the sense that he’s another villain in need of redemption but he’s very loosely tied to the center of the family–Henry

ParticipantI guess my points how can you claim tomatoes are not a fruit but cucumbers are, they both have seeds and are great in a salad but still, come on. Lol. I guess just tired of the whole Neal is not important to the story just like the whole Neal is not a parent to Henry debate as well. Neal, Regina, and Emma are parents who love Henry and want to be a part of his life. That’s a beautiful thing that shouldn’t be frown upon.
By the way love the pretties

ParticipantNeal is central to so many characters’ lives and his happiness is so intricately tied up with other characters’ idea of a happy ending that I’m pretty sure he’ll survive. The writers will probably keep up the suspense until the last moment, but I think Neal is too important a character not to get another chance. After all, he survived what should’ve been a fatal gunshot after falling through a bean portal. That guy is durable!

KeymasterA little something to think about from Schmacky
To all those that think Hook is safe because we won’t see his deal this year…Think for two seconds, please!
Seriously? They just said it’s not going to happen this year. Meaning.. we’re not going to see it this year. Maybe we’ll see it next year or three years from now or never. All it means is that we won’t see the deal in S3.

ParticipantIn a recent article we now have Adam and Eddy saying S3b’s theme is going to be the concept of “home.”
‘lt’s the same show but different. We are going to see the after effects of everything in that finale,” adds co-creator and executive producer Adam Horowitz’ ”We’re going [to] start a whole new story thread.’”. While the first part of the season was about belief and believing in yourself, ”the theme of the second part of the season, I would say, is home. What does that mean? ls it something we’re all looking for? How do you find it? How do you find something when you have it?” adds Kitsis.
“Believe a Lost Girl Can Find Her Way Home” is Emma’s S3 theme, and even though the plot is moving on from NL to Oz, the characters’ arcs will continue to develop along those lines.
Also, as I posted something in the thread about ABC Medianet article:
Master storytellers Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz (“Lost,” “Tron: Legacy”) invite everyone to join Emma Swan as she struggles to understand whether she belongs in New York City, where she has begun a new life with Henry, or back in Storybrooke, where things have never been simple. As she works to provide a stable environment for her and Henry, she learns that there’s no place like home. But the question remains: where is that for Emma?
I think the idea of “home” is very important to Emma. She dreamt of making a home with Neal in Tallahassee. In Nasty Habits, she looked up at light pattern Neal’s coconut cast and whispered the word “home” in the same intonation she did all those years before. It’s very interesting that she and Henry ended up in NYC, the place Neal most recently called home, rather than Boston, the place where Emma lived prior to arriving in SB. At the end of Going Home, she awoke at 8:15 to the song “Charley’s Girl” –a song we first heard when Neal made his debut in Broken–which again links Emma’s concept of home to Neal. It seems even when Emma is cursed, she thinks very similarly to Neal. [spoiler]And according to the promo for New York Serenade, Emma will rediscover the dreamcatcher Neal kept. These things seem very deliberate to me, especially in a story arc about Oz and the importance of home. Just my two cents.

KeymasterI love how they got the little part of her necklace into the shot. It’s a reminder of what is missing: the other half, the Swan pendant.

ParticipantHome and Family, there is no place like home. I think its interesting to see that home and family is the theme of 3B since a home and family all Neal and Emma every wanted in life. So I own personal headcanon is that for Emma home is wherethe heart is and her heart has rooms for Henry, her parents, her family, her friends, and her love which is Neal, the fire that keeps her heart warm. Perhaps Emma and Neal both discover that they have home, they have a family, and they both are getting a second chance at this. What if is this season we see both Emma and Neal fighting for their love, fighting to reunite with each other.
