I think that Hook will do something “scoundrel” like and screw over his “good friend” Neal to beat him to NYC, either by making a deal with the WW or beating Neal to a portal. But I think Neal will ultimately make it back to Emma to be her real champion (which is what his name means).

I know the rest sounds a little ominous but by now I think with Rumbelle separated, the writers definitely aren’t going to risk that wrath to put Neal and Emma together that easily right? On the other hand, I think that’s the point.
I think that Neal and Emma being apart is actually a good sign, because the greater the obstacle, the greater the love on this show. And I want to see Neal really fight for Emma, so as to put an end to the nay-sayers who belittle Neal’s earnestness. Plus, Neal said he had to get his family home in 3×4, and we all know Emma has always been searching for home (the theme for S3b). FORESHADOWING!

I totally think that is where this is going. Seeing Hook continue to act jealous, petty, and possessive is really going to underscore just how wrong he is for Emma. Hopefully, he will help Emma get back to Neal when he realizes that she loves Neal, not him. Yet, the other spoiler from TV Fanatic calls Hook a “scoundrel” which suggests to me that he does something less than honorable to beat Neal back to NYC. That spoiler also suggests that Hook takes advantage of Neal’s absence to try and “worm” his way into Emma’s good graces. That doesn’t exactly sound like Hook has suddenly adopted a noble outlook. But it looks like Hook’s attempts to woo Emma aren’t going anywhere because of Walsh being in Emma’s life. If Emma does get engaged to Walsh, then Hook will come across even worse because then he really will be hitting on a woman who is already committed to another guy. However, once Emma gets her memories back, she may realize her home is really with Neal, not Walsh or Hook. Plus, if Walsh does end up working for the WW, then he’ll be an”evil fiancé” to Emma just as Tamara was Neal’s “evil fiancée.
