Look at his face! Just look at it. He is so focused. So determined to do what he can to protect Emma and his father. All he’s got is a freaking sword against a sorceress. And he’s been out of practice for 20+ years. But he stands his ground. You can see the worry, the anger, the determination and frustration in his expression.

“I’m never gonna stop fighting for you, Emma.”

This is what he meant when he told her that. Together or not, he will always stand his ground for her, will always watch her back, will do what he can to take care of her.

Whether or not she gives him a second chance. Whether or not they get back together. He will always put her first and stand between her and harm’s way.

I wish I could make videos because I’d do one to this song for Neal and Emma.   I’m not sure of MRJ’s taste in music but when they were joking about making mix tapes for Emma, this song seems like how Neal would feel about her.
