Keymasterapparently if I am suspicious at the end of March 9th, then I’m not the only one…according to Hypable. I don’t even know anymore.
Working for Zelena, working for Glinda, working for himself? Is Neal in Oz? The EF? A basement chained to a wall? A monkey?
heh.
6 days.

KeymasterI will say this for some of the Neal news we’re getting. More convinced than ever that Neal can’t die in 316. How do you show a character evolution for him maybe treading down his father’s path and then not coming back from it? Because I refuse to believe they’d do total character annihilation on him. If they did have him go down a desperate path, they’d show him coming back from it too. He seems to be in 313 and 314 only slighlty if at all, and then 315. you can’t show that kind of development in one or two episodes

ParticipantSo my speculative mind is at work right now. Perhaps Hook spending time Henry and Emma might be the foil to try sway Neal to the dark side. If WW is offering Neal temptation (and for what reason, to try keep Swanfire family a part?) perhaps by trying to show him through her crystal ball that Hook is once again try to “take his family away from him,” aka “You tore apart my family” bit. I like to think Neal will refuse the darkness.
I’m just truly confused by the Hook insertion to point he almost like the Neal replacement in everything. He gets to go after Emma, he gets to be good cool friend paternal like figure to Henry, he gets to hang out with the Charmings. Hook is teaming up with Henry. And it just seems really, really, really odd and out of place and just peculiar. Especially since we know Father and Son dynamic and relationship is a big thing with stiltskin family. If Neal is the one to go wouldn’t you want to focus more on the relationship with Emma, his son, belle, and his somewhat dead father. There has to be more than this then we just want to replace Neal with Hook, and make Hook Neal 2.0., because you know he is supposedly not popular enough or we need to end the triangle. And this just seem like an awesome idea to kill this character between S2 and S3 when we just hired the actor full time and everyone thought he was already dead. When you think of it those terms it makes little sense what-so-ever.
Its not easy when things are so hush hush concerning Neal but one thing we know, he was filming in studio. So I am assuming that he is in Oz trying once again to fight his way back to his family while keep his inner goodness and light intact. I like the idea of Emma and Neal both fighting there way back to each other, that this journey led the lost girl and the lost boy Home
I have hope, all happy endings in begin with Hope.

I know it’s very frustrating for us SF fans right now because it seems like Hook is getting to do everything that seems like Neal would be a natural at: navigating NYC, spending time with Henry, helping Emma get home to her parents, riding in the yellow bug. I get how much it stinks, but here’s the thing. I think it’s a misdirection. Hook trying to insert himself into the role of Neal is like trying to fit a square-shaped peg into a circle-shaped slot. It just doesn’t work, and that’s the point. Hook is like a fish out of water trying to navigate NYC in a pirate’s costume and a hook and later trying to pal around with Neal’s son. He doesn’t fit into Emma’s idea of a happy, normal life. Neal does.
Henry doesn’t get his memories back until later than Emma, so any “teaming up” that Hook and Henry do is while he’s still not remembering meeting his dad. (Yet, I’m still skeptical of the “Hypable” article). Henry, who has grown up fatherless, is probably very susceptible to any male influence who takes an interest in his mom. Right now Emma sounds confused as heck, too, about having two sets of memories in her head, dealing with her parents, dealing with the new curse, finding out what the deal is with Zelena, and where the heck is Neal. Sounds like Emma is also going to have to make a choice at some point regarding her love life. I wonder if she’s going to decide something with regards to Hook. Maybe she decides they’re better off as just friends after all.
I think there is more to this story too about how and when Hook arrives. I think before long, Emma is going to start to question Hook’s motives and that is going to come between her and Henry, who is still not believing in fairytales. I think Hook might have Henry duped but that Emma’s lying detector is going to start telling her that Hook may be hiding some important things from her. I think we’re going to see Emma realize exactly who Milha was, and when she realizes Hook was in love with Neal’s mother and that Hook basically abandoned Bae, that isn’t going to sit well with Emma and she’s not going to want Hook around her son. There was a set report for 3×19 that Henry and Hook have a scene together inside a diner. Emma then has a loud argument with Henry (who may still be without his memory), and Emma says, “I’m your mother, and I know what’s best for you.” Then Emma stamps away in a huff. What if Emma is starting to see the bond between cursed Henry and Hook, yet Emma is also starting to question Hook’s agenda. What if Emma, who is by then starting to see the truth, tries to discourage Henry from spending so much time with Hook, but they fight about it? We know in 3×19, Hook, Zelena and Rumple have at least a scene together. We also know by 3×19, Emma has her swan pendant back. Could she possibly be meeting up with Neal in secret, who is telling her the truth? Emma putting back on her necklace his highly symbolic of Emma not only getting her true memories back, but also her true identity, her heart, and her remembering her love for Neal.

KeymasterI’m with Slurpeez on this. The more I read the Hypable article the more I think it’s a grab bag of fact, spec, and spin. I’m going to very cautious about reading too much into that one
