KeymasterI think Emma’s walls will go up like crazy the second the kiss is over. She does that. She did it when Graham, she did it after Neal’s “death” and now this. If she suddenly declared her undying love for Hook it wouldn’t be real. This is a human moment.

ParticipantThis idea was brought up in the chat. Does Emma know that Milha was Bae’s mother? My guess is that she doesn’t know that fact or what Hook did to Bae. And I don’t think Hook would volunteer that information. I think Neal will be the one to inform Emma that Hook took his mother from him as a child and destroyed his family. That might be another thing that makes Emma think twice about kissing Hook again when she discovers Neal is alive.

InactiveEmma on screen doesn’t have a clue as of yet. Hook is the one who’s aware of his history with his mother yet having no qualms about actively pursuing the love of his step son’s life. Our Pirate would be Hero Ladies and Gents.

ParticipantLook’s like Bae’s poster is official
That’s excellent news! So we officially have Neal believing in second chances and Emma, a lost girl, believing she can find her way home (i.e. Tallahassee baby)!

To be fair, I have hope Hook will back off when he realizes Neal is alive. I hope part of Hook’s continued redemption comes in the form of helping Neal realize his second chance at a family. But I agree, that Hook actively pursuing Emma once he realizes Neal is alive would negate a lot of Hook’s character growth.

ParticipantThis whole Neverland arc has been promoted about belief even down to all the posters tags. Who in Neverland is synonymous with the power of belief? Tinkberbell. What was the ongoing theme Regina, Bae, and Tink all shared and vocalized they all wanted in last week’s episode? Their second Chance.
This show is implying the arc will be Regina finding her happy ending with…. Tinkerbel regaining her….Bae getting his second chance with…
I’m just putting it out there. When your character begins to parallel Neverland’s symbol for belief in their desire for their second chance, well, my money’s on…
I love your fill-in-the blank approach! Yes, second chances are what S3 is all about. Back in “The Queen is Dead” Rumple said that Emma wants a second chance with Neal, and that the look on her face made him think thus. Now we know for sure that Neal wants a second chance with Emma, since he said so to Robin and Mulan in “Quite a Common Fairy.” Time will tell if they get their second chance with each other or not.
I do think Hook will get a second chance to live for more than revenge but that his isn’t necessarily romantic, but rather to be a hero in the broad sense of the word. He’s not just going to be Emma’s hero, but also Neal’s, Henry’s and potentially David’s, if Hook helps David find an antidote to dreamshade. I also have a hunch that Hook might be Tink’s second chance at a happy ending.

ParticipantHaving just seen the second sneak peek for “Nasty Habits” I have a lot of new thoughts on the CaptainSwanFire dynamic:
-It’s interesting Hook remarked that Bae gets his drawing ability from his mother, and yet, Hook doesn’t confide in Emma how he knows that or exactly who Bae’s mother was. He is afraid to share with her about his complicated history with Bae and Milha. Instead, all Hook says is spent some time together with Bae, but Hook does seem to have spent more time with Bae than we previously suspected.
– Hook seems to be very nostalgic as he recalls memories of Milha and his time with Neal.
– Neal left Emma a way home. Home, as in Tallahassee! The way Emma smiles seems nostalgic to me as she remembers how Neal was home to her. *feels*Also, there was a tweet from Adam which gives me real hope in second chances, in spite of the epic-looking CS kiss:

Well said, Mickstemp, I completely agree. The way they’re constructing the story and the themes so far, it gives me a lot of faith that SF will indeed be getting their second chance! 🙂
Regarding the sneak peek, judging by the look Emma gives Hook after, “He got it from his mother,” she hasn’t put all the pieces together yet about exactly how they’re connected. Will be interesting to see how that all comes out.
Love hearing Emma say “home”, and now we know it is in fact in direct relation to something of Neal’s! ALL THE FEELS!

Participantther Swanthief flashback after watching that sneak peek. Emma had a similar reaction when she spotted the dream catcher in his apt. I wouldn’t be surprised if Neal made a similar make shift night light that mimicked the constellation when they were together. Her reaction seemed nostalgic and familiar.
Maybe but I think the nostalgia comes mostly from remembering Neal and wishing she could have had a second chance to get to know him better. Emma says to Hook, “You must’ve known him really well,” in a wishful sort of way, like she wishes she could’ve known all the sides of Baelfire. *feels*

KeymasterFinally getting around the reading this thread in full today
1) Very happy that Nealfire has an official poster. As my second favorite character I was sad that he didn’t. Obviously I fangirled over the “believe”
2) The new sneak peek is very CaptainFire meets Swanfire angst with a small scoop of CaptainSwan. These writers are gonna make us all crazy. However the home line was very powerful and I agree, same reaction to the dreamcatcher
3) I can’t decide how much Emma knows re: Hook/Milah post new 304 peek But I’m betting the truth comes out. Not sure how much she’s going to care honestly. I can see her being a little off put but she also kisses Hook in 305 so I’m not sure anymore
4) Everyone go tweet Adam love. He’s getting nailed to the wall, as one might expect.

ParticipantI hope so Mick, also I just had this thought on the Believe poster. His hand is in his pocket, holding the Swan Necklace.
