3) I can’t decide how much Emma knows re: Hook/Milah post new 304 peek But I’m betting the truth comes out. Not sure how much she’s going to care honestly. I can see her being a little off put but she also kisses Hook in 305 so I’m not sure anymore

Emma’s pretty bright. She knows that Neal loved a woman named Milha. She realizes now that Hook spent a lot of time with Bae and knew something about his mother. I’m guessing that Emma has yet to learn the full truth though about WHY Rumple killed Hook’s love (i.e. that Hook had an affair with Bae’s mother). I think that Emma won’t learn the entire story until AFTER she kisses Hook and that she’ll hear the details from Neal once she discovers he’s alive.

I hope so Mick, also I just had this thought on the Believe poster.  His hand is in his pocket, holding the Swan Necklace.

Maybe but I think the nostalgia comes mostly from remembering Neal and wishing she could have had a second chance to get to know him better. Emma says to Hook, “You must’ve known him really well,” in a wishful sort of way, like she wishes she could’ve known all the sides of Baelfire. *feels*

Well lucky for Emma, she’s gonna get that chance after all. 😉

I think she might care more in the sense of, “You had multiple times to tell me this in the past week, Hook, but I had to wait and hear it from Neal. Why weren’t you just honest with me? Were you ever gonna tell me?”

Honestly, I’m not really worried. This is gonna happen during the time when she still thinks Neal is dead, and it’s gonna be a heat of the moment type thing, and I really can’t see CS continuing to make out by the campfire once Neal is around, so I think it’s probably gonna be a one off. It won’t be too long until WE are the ship who gets to rejoice over seeing our pair side by side again.

As to Bae’s poster, noticed everyone has an object that’s highlighted and his is the only one that doesn’t have one. The only thing that stands out is his hand in that one pocket. These posters aren’t random and the objects were chosen to represent the characters overall arc. Between his tagline (which pretty much speaks for itself) and choosing to physically show the necklace I think would be a bit much and lose the emotional impact of the reveal later in the season.

Just saying, if Han Solo/Wes is the model for Hook, doesn’t mean Buttercup/Leia is Emma.  In fact, I kind of think it’s more mixed around in true OUAT fashion.   Hook and Emma might kiss, but so did Leia and Luke.  Context is everything.    They aren’t changing the names and telling the same stories.   They might inject the “DNA” in building a character archetype/plot but they are not just playing out a formula here.

I always saw Hook as more like Ignio/Lando and I stand by that.  He’s trying hard, and I do think he will reform and be best buddies –but doesn’t mean he has to get the girl or that he is even going to want to try, or that she wants him to try.  Whether he takes a step back because of the “Bro code” principle, or because Emma is just not that into him, or because he realizes Neal and Emma actually are true love,  in the end, he can be a hero without being Emma’s love.  If he is who she wants, well, the story will have to start showing us that she is reciprocating and seeing these other grand things in him, and showing us where Neal’s second chance is if it is not with her, and where Emma’s home is, if it is not with Neal.  There’s no way to “logically” say what these answers are as it is a story, and there are parts to the story we do not know.   Based on what we do know–I am going to believe Neal gets his second chance to find a  Home with Emma (Henry and the  rest too!).

So, over in the sneak peek thread for 3×4 we’ve been discussing Bae’s star map and how it could be an image of the phoenix constellation. Needless to say, that would be highly symbolic if Bae’s map is what leads Emma home and that the phoenix could represent their love being reborn. *SF feels* Okay, I need official confirmation about what constellation it is on the map.

Remember the star map comes from a coconut, which comes from a palm tree, form which the phoenix rises.

Also, Ginny Goodwin might’ve been giving a shout-out to SF and Harry Potter (both of which she is a big fan) by mentioning the phoenix:
