I just saw a post of the bug on Tumblr and it made me think.

I used to think that Emma kept the bug because it not only reminded her of Neal, but it kept her son’s memory alive. It’s very likely this is where Henry was conceived. Even if it wasn’t. It’s the one thing she has that ties her to Neal (besides the Swan pendant (but amnesia!Emma doesn’t have that)) and their child that she had to give up.

And, of course, let’s not forget that she received the keys to the bug the day she found out she was pregnant with Henry. Which, ever since Tallahassee, that is why I think she’s kept the bug all those years. Henry.

But amnesia!Emma has Henry and believes she’s raised him since birth. They’ve had a year of non-fake memories together. And you know what? She has the bug still. The bug doesn’t represent her connection to Henry. She doesn’t need anything to represent Henry because she has him. The bug can only represent her connection to Neal.

Well there was one thing I want to bring up from the E! piece

(fair warning to the lurking CSers…you might not appreciate what I’m saying)

Hook sits and sulks. Really? That’s his solution to going to get Emma? Everyone has been harping on him finding Emma and TL always find one another but from the sounds of it, Hook gives up rather quickly and decides to wallow. It’s Neal who is the man of action. The second he gets back he goes to work. Snowing try to get him to let Emma have a happy life and I do think he considers it but I also think Belle is gonna smack him upside the head (that’s my girl!) So WHAT changed Hook’s mind?? What made him go from ennui to action? Did something get easier? Was there suddenly a magical option? Just some food for thought

If Neal is already off with Belle by that point he can’t go and if Snow is already pregnant, I don’t think David would leave her… so that leaves Hook. A man on a mission.
