i dont like that theory, bc that is half way to be killed. some of us were taking before on the chat, the drama that would be for people need to kill the monkeys and at the same they are their friends. I mean if belle is in SB, why Neal is not with her? im starting to find this really odd, i mean if the girl that filmed with mrj wasnt double for emma, regina and belle, is would say that they killed neal on the past and then only on th 316 they find maybe his body at the farm, and if he is alive but hurt at the creepy farm, what does this mean? why WW hide him there? can this mean that there is a chance she used him to get to rumple and then cast the curse? since both neal and belle could have found rumple in 315 but with the curse they dont remenber or use him to track henry and emma? hope they are looking for him bc really odd if he is missing no one search for him

In my head canon, yes they are being controlled by Zelena but because Monkey!Neal still has the swan pendant, he uses it to hold onto his love for Emma and Henry which allows him to guard his heart and not become evil like the other ones. He’s in SB seeing the others trying to figure everything out and eventually starts trying to help them from the inside but can’t talk to them. Eventually he saves Emma from being hurt by the other monkeys and in the course of their experience together, she figures out that this monkey is trying to help her not hurt her. He gives her the pendant to tell her that it’s him and she realizes that she has to figure out a way to help him and break that curse (TLK come on down…you’re the next contestant on Once Upon a Time). The more we may or may not see Neal in SB, the more I’m convinced of this theory, and I swear I wrote out my full head canon somewhere in this thread but it’s probably 100 pages ago now, LOL 😉
And for the record, I don’t really care for my theory all that much but it could actually work from what little things we know about upcoming episodes. 😮

I thought the same way–the later we get a reunion, the happier I am because of that spoiler. Right now, think about it. Henry doesn’t know Neal as anything other than the scumbag who ran off and left his Mom. Until Henry can get back those other memories, its just bound to be tense and painful. Same with Emma. She was afraid the savior doesn’t get a day off and Monkey Boy only served to reinforce her conviction that it is true, so even though she has her memories, what she doesn’t have is the conviction that “love will save the day”. She’s right now thinking love is something not in the cards for her and that has to change. She has to kind of go on a bit of a journey here, and she’s got other things on her plate besides her romantic relationship to worry about. She and Regina are kind of swapping positions with Henry. That’s big. Then there’s the new sibling and the fact she can’t tell Henry that’s his uncle/aunt in that nice lady’s belly. What she has with Neal is so fraught with emotion that I think in some ways it would be, once again, too much for her to really be able to take it on while all this is happening. Once they unearth the witch? Stop her game or at least know what it is? Then it might be time for Emma to realize something about how she feels about Neal, perhaps because it comes to her as she realizes what she doesn’t feel for Hook who seems to be Johnny on the Spot trying to win her but she just doesn’t feel that about him. I am still hoping too that Walsh is explained in that it involved Zelena using something of Neal to make Walsh so gosh darn appealing to Emma 😛

^ all of that. If you look at the story over the course of 11 episode there is so much for Emma to go through that to have any real sort of resolution to anything, Neal has to be safe/in hiding

I don’t know if it’s an actual scene, a dream sequence, or what, but I think we’ll get something.

If you guys will recall I was the one who originally said that I thought the reason for lack of MRJ is because I believed that He had been captured by Zelena and turned into a flying monkey and it was at that point everyone but Heather thought I was crazy for even coming up with that crack theory
