I hope Neal’s shock and anger at both Hook and Emma does not drive him to forget how much he loves Emma, how much pain she suffered, how he too tried to move on when he thought the door closed–but most importantly the words of wisdom from Yodathat there is no try. He never moved on and he will have to believe she has not either despite how it might appear (and be aggressively asserted on Tumblr) that she has because she is trying.
Again, this may be my SF bias speaking, but I don’t foresee Neal being angry at Emma so much as at Hook. I think Neal would be more hurt by Emma than mad at her. Any anger that Neal experiences I foresee will be directed back at Hook, since this is the same man who stole his mother, in Neal’s opinion. Emma kissing Hook, however fleetingly momentary, could trigger old feelings of his mother rejecting Bae in favor of Hook.

I said in another thread that trust is a two-way street, but the more the power is imbalanced, the more the person with the power has to bend and wait for the other party to feel fully comfortable with everything. Hook and Neal will be in some ways equal now, whereas they were not when pre-teen Bae dealt with Hook. Rumple has magic and powers beyond but Hook does not. So I hope Neal will be a bit more forgiving I guess, despite on the one hand reasons to be nothing but distrustful and angry.
It would show a LOT of maturity on Neal’s part to treat Hook with respect for how Hook is helping the others. Of course, here on a shippy thread, I can add that it would be very SF -feels if Hook does turn out to be less honorable and above-board than everyone has thought and Neal’s the one to catch him at it.
I am sort of wondering here, what if Hook finds Neal’s coat or scarf and then has a dilemma to tell the others this? If he feels torn between his feelings for Emma, and his feelings for Bae? I believe they will explain he sort of thinks of Bae as a little brother, rather than as a straight-up son, given their age differences. and of course the sneak peek that Liam is indeed Hook’s brother…..
I didn’t think I’d be excited for this next episode with the hype centering solely on a triangle, but now I am very excited because there is the hope of real character development, not light-switch good guy to bad guy, bad guy to good guy.

October 21, 2013 at 2:28 pm #217783RumplesGirlKeymasterWell given the new press release it does seem like Hook has more than just step-fatherly feelings for Bae. He saw himself in Bae and saw the chance to be a big brother to a boy who had been left by his father. In other words, Hook got to be Bae’s Liam. I really wanna see how that plays out.

While I want to believe that Neal and Hook will put their differences aside to save Henry, I have a feeling that we’re going to see more of Hook’s pirate-self again in present-day NL. I don’t think Hook was being fully honest with David in 3×4, when Hook flat out told David that he wouldn’t make it off the island alive. Yet in 3×5, we’re going to see a flashback of Killian and his brother, Liam, on an uncharted island looking for a plant which can cure an injury. I predict that this plant is the antidote to dreamshade poison, and the Hook intentionally left out that pesky detail to Charming. I think Killian watched his own brother die of dreamshade poisoning, and so didn’t want to give Charming false hope since maybe only PP possess the antidote. So, who else might know about the antidote? Neal! Since he was a Lost Boy!

If you listen closely to the part of the clip where Emma confesses that she never stopped loving Neal, you’ll hear the True Love theme (starting at the 1:00 mark)!"That’s how you know you’ve really got a home. If he knows general endgame or if he’s working episode to episode and only thinks he knows what is happening based on his background as a music writer. Apparently Daniel is going to be interviewing him at some point, maybe I’ll tuck this question into my back pocket for that.
