Y’know I’ve often wondered how much they told Isham. If he knows general endgame or if he’s working episode to episode and only thinks he knows what is happening based on his background as a music writer. Apparently Daniel is going to be interviewing him at some point, maybe I’ll tuck this question into my back pocket for that.
Good question! I think Adam and Eddy probably brief him or at the very least give their opinions and final approval of the musical score episode by episode.

October 21, 2013 at 9:03 pm #217889CrownedWithLaurelsParticipantAnother interesting theory about the kiss I found on tumblr.
http://spookymithradragoon.tumblr.com/post/64728076430/what-if-neal-is-the-one-dreaming-about-emma
What if NEAL is the one dreaming about Emma kissing Hook since his father told him about leaving her back on the ship with Hook??? What if it’s Pan’s manipulating Neal into thinking he’s lost all hope, he came to Neverland for nothing because he can’t save Henry and Emma is with Hook which he knows exactly what happened between his mother and Hook… So he ends up having a nightmare about the two of them being together. JMo said it was a very human moment, but maybe that was just for Neal worrying about losing the love of his life to Hook of all people? It’s really messed up for him because Hook stole his mother, now Emma, and he’s probably going to ragequit into the sun and give up all hope.
And if you have time, a theory about what “bad things” would have happened if Neal didn’t listen to August.

You’re absolutely right! How could I have missed that? *Floored* I think that is very deliberate and intentional on the parts of Kitswitz and Mark Isham.
Mark Isham’s S2 soundtrack “Tallahassee” (opening theme)
Mark Isham’s S2 soundtrack “True Love” (theme starts at 1:32)
Mark Isham’s S1 soundtrack “Emma’s Theme” is similar to “Tallahassee” but with slight differences. Yet, the True Love theme is evident since Emma is True Love personified.
Emma and Neal were true love before we even knew who Neal really was! Their love was literally written in the stars (assuming the star map is of the constellation Phoenix)!

October 21, 2013 at 11:09 pm #217910RumplesGirlKeymasterWow. That was amazing!!!! Really well done. As a SF and as someone who considers Neal to be her second favorite character that was just wonderful.

That little smile he has at the campsite right after he says her name. *DYING OF FEELS* I can’t wait until after they’re reunited, and someone makes a vid to “Fix You”, because “liiiiights will guuuuiiiiiide you hooooommmmmme,” so that vid MUST happen.

Doubt he’d know endgames, but he probably gets a memo to “drop a lil True Love Theme into the score for this scene,” whenever Kitswitz want it in there. Isham’s music is all so seriously beautiful. Makes me wanna weep.
JMo said it was a very human moment, but maybe that was just for Neal worrying about losing the love of his life to Hook of all people?
JMo’s comment is what’s keeping me from getting on board with the dream/hallucination theories. If she was talking about it being a “very human moment” for someone other than Emma, then JMo kickstarted the biggest fakeout in fandom history. Obviously, the SFer in me wouldn’t mind if it were true, because there’s gotta be some way to explain such a sudden and drastic change in Emma, mere hours after she was crying over how she never stopped loving Neal, so it being someone else’s hallucination would explain it away rather perfectly. I’d feel bad for the CSers though if it ends up being a vision of some sort, instead of it actually happening.
Also, because I’m totally suspicious of how promos are edited, I’m not even convinced that Charming’s, “Stay away from my daughter!” is actually directed at Hook. He’s probably yelling at a Lost Boy or Pan.
October 22, 2013 at 9:21 am #217966RumplesGirlKeymasterI think the thing is totally legit. And I think it has a variety of contributing factors such as:
–danger is all around. NL, PP, Lost Boys
–missing son
–missing Neal
–trying to be a leader when is truly terrified of being Savior/Mother
–Hook will play some key role in saving Charming
–Hook will play some key role in putting a plan together about Henry
–emotional exhaustion
–just declared that she never stopped loving Neal and is therefore totally walls down. Honestly. Think how many times we’ve seen Emma cry/get overly emotional S1-2. Not THAT many. And now in the course of 4 episodes we’ve seen heartbreaking emotional breakdowns 2 (302 and 304). Girl’s coming undone and trying to prevent it cause she sees it as a weakness when she needs to be strong.

Yeah I’m not convinced of it either
