@Mickstemp @RumplesGirl – I see where you’re going with this, and I hope you’re right. The promo is leading a lot of people into thinking Zelena is going to crush Neal’s heart the way Regina crushed Graham’s heart right in front of Emma. Despite that seeming parallel, I’m holding onto hope this is another giant misdirection and that Zelena needs something which represents Neal’s heart, like the swan pendant, or even his actual heart. I’m just not a fan of this promo, but that’s to be expected in light of the spoiler of doom. Yet, I’m still holding on, since it’d be unthinkable that Neal’s arc could be resolved in a single episode, not when Emma still loves him but has unresolved fears that the price of her being the savior mean not getting a happy ending with him. Not when Henry doesn’t even remember his dad. Not when Rumple is half deranged and under the thumb of the Zelena. He is so central to so many of our characters, and he is also a standout character in my book. To end his story so abruptly would just absolutely send the wrong message, in my estimation, that life is one cruel slog and then it’s over. Nope. Not buying it. That’s the opposite of hope. And as Snow told Emma, it’s important to believe Neal could be alive, because all happy endings start with hope. And right now, all I have is hope and a prayer to go on.

I’ll be super happy person, then.

Thing about 314 that were good for us

Emma’s heart is broken after Walsh but again, misdirection. Emma literally says nothing when Hook talks about mending it. She gives him the same “seriously” look she always gives him.

Emma called him out on his stuff and Hook lied to her. To her face. Now, I think he has a VERY good reason, heartless Neal for one but so much for trust?

Seriously. Promo. Guys. We’re going to be okay.

I’m not ready to throw in the towel or anything. I’m still anticipating the Emma-Neal reunion coming up. I expect Emma to be more receptive this time around than she was in 3×6, because having Henry in her life has made her a little softer around the edges. Plus, she understands now that she had to leave the people she loved for Henry’s sake, just as Neal had to leave the woman he loved to get Emma home. I’m expecting some excellent scenes between Emma and Neal.

Going back to 3×14 for now though for a bit. For those of you who watch Wonderland, did you catch the parallel between Hook in this episode and Jafar in “The Heart of the Matter”?

Hook and Emma were in the woods talking. She accused him of lying. He asked her about Walsh. Notice what he said:

Emma: “You’re glad to hear I got my heart broken?”
Hook: “If it can be broken, it means it still works”

Spoiler for those who haven’t seen Wonderland yet: In “The Heart of the Matter” Jafar replaced Will Scarlett’s heart back in his chest in order to enact the spell to change the laws of magic. Will regaining his heart meant that his love for Ana was rekindled and he kissed Ana. Yet, they were interrupted by Jafar who said:

Jafar: “Let’s make sure that heart of yours is still working, shall we?”

And then Jafar murdered Ana right in front of Will.

It’s just an uncanny parallel between Jafar and Hook. I’m not saying that Hook wants to kill Neal the way Jafar did, but what if there’s some reason beyond romance that Hook wants to make sure Emma’s heart is still working? What if Hook is unwittingly playing into a trap set by Zelena for Emma?

Interesting idea, Slupreez. and after all, Will was a thief and Ana is a princess (queen..sorta)

I don’t know if Zelena want’s Emma’s heart unless she needs it alongside Neal’s heart. Oh. Oh. Do we like that? Is that a thing we like? She needs both their hearts?!

*sigh* Sorry fellow SFers. My emotions got the better of me after seeing

poor Neal getting tortured like that and clutching his chest in pain right in front of Emma no less. UGH! After seeing OUATiW episode, SF strongly parallels Will/Anna’s. Now that Neal is MISSING a heart. I’m holding on to hope that it’s a misdirect and WW still needs Neal’s heart as a key ingredient for something. So she can’t kill him just yet or it won’t work.  I think it would be so cruel that after the talk Emma had with Hook about truly being in love with Walsh and saw him taken away from her, then to have WW crush Neal’s heart in front of Emma, would be beyond salvage of Emma’s hopes of having some love in her life. Hook is practically throwing himself at Emma and yet she still doesn’t take the bait, not after all they’ve been through in Neverland, the kiss, NYC, nothing…. Also since Neal is missing his heart he can’t love and it would be epic (although purely wishful thinking on my part) if Emma goes on a quest to find his heart again and discover their love again and be the one to make Neal love again. Even when she’s lost faith in love. That would cause Emma to push and strive to hope and faith, when she had very little of it before. I think that would truly be an epic romantic journey for the two, that can open up the theme of reconciliation, trust, second chances, etc… That type of plot my fuel Emma’s hope’s of happy ending and “home” Now I have some cautious optimism after I’ve processed what happened.

UGH waiting another week will be torture though… I know tumblr is going to be filled with the spoiler of doom topics that I just don’t have the heart to look at.

Luna I love the idea of a quest to find Neal’s heart!!!!!! And yeah, lots of OUATinWL parallels right now. Must watch 112 to see what happens next. I’m convinced they’re doing this on purpose–paralleling SF with both couples right now.

This week, let’s stay positive. And up beat. Lots of pretties and happy theories. I think we’re going to be okay.

I had been thinking for a while that they were going to use characters we know as fill ins for the characters of OZ. I knew Belle would be the Scarecrow (brain) but couldn’t figure out who would fill in the other two spots of heart and courage. As SOON as I saw Neal clutch his chest in the promo, I knew he’d be the Tinman! And I know a lot of you are losing hope BUT just remember: At the end of the Wizard of Oz, they all get their courage/brains/heart back. In fact, they realize they never lost them in the first place, they had them the whole time. It just took the journey for them to figure it out. BOOM!

Keeper of the Cheshire Cat’s smile, Baelfire’s sword, Snow’s backpack, Robin Hood’s bow, Ariel’s purse, Ariel’s smile, Henry’s heart, Belle’s shoe collection

@Runaroundmacy – You’re probably right. What’s taken will eventually be returned. Emma’s idea of home, Tallahassee, has been lost to her for now, but she’ll get it back. Neal’s second chance seems so far out of reach, but he’ll get it back.

@Mickstemp Your theorizing about 3×15 has suddenly renewed my hope! You could be right that Neal falling to the grown and crying out in pain may not be his heart after all. Perhaps he IS transforming into a monkey before Emma’s very eyes. I also accept your notion that Neal is the one who released Rumple from the storm cellar.
