ParticipantSo would a thousand years be an appropriate wedding song? I mean.. he’s old as………..
YES. I love that song and I think it’s perfect for a SF wedding. 😀
I think we could make an entire SF music list pretty easily from all the songs that sound perfect for them! The one that’s getting me right now is the new John Legend song, “All of Me”. UGH, so many SF feels when I hear that song in my car! 😀

ParticipantI swear, if we make it through the next two episodes (or maybe just this one), I’m doing up a set of decorated SwanFire cookies. Bugs and golden swans and swords and dreamcatchers … and what else?
flames! NYC skyline?? #Hope
Coffee cups to symbolize the hot cocoa with cinnamon, glasses for Emma, some with drawings on them from Neal’s NL cave, happy faces symbolizing how happy they make each other, Florida shaped cookies…and I’m out of ideas now, LOL
COCONUT.
I will make them coconut-flavored.
I wonder if I can find a Florida cutter here in New York?
My husband is going to think I’m nuts. 😀 But he got Star Trek cookies a few weeks ago; he has nothing to complain about.
It’s going to be quite a party Sunday. #hope

ParticipantCan you make a bunch of them non coconut? As much as I love Neal, I cannot stand coconut flavored anything, LOL 😆

ParticipantSo I was watching a rerun of TBBT, and the episode was, interestingly enough, called “The Pirate Solution.” That is just coincidence. The part that stood out to me was what Sheldon said at the 8-second mark.
Sheldon: Never fear. Like the subordinate male protagonist in countless action movies who disappears half-way through the second reel, I have returned to save the day.
I’m going to take a page out of Sheldon’s book and fear not. Neal fits that archetype of the underdog who is absent yet returns to put things right. The writers are just following a set film and television trope by making it seem like things are bad for Neal, but by facing trials, Neal will overcome adversity and triumph. After all, that is tale of the unlikely hero, is it not? The synopsis for 3×15 uses negative sounding words like “anguish” and “yearns for” to trigger deep pathos for Neal’s struggle. Yet, all real heroes must struggle with the climb in order to reach the summit. That’s just how this is supposed to go.
"That’s how you know you’ve really got a home. When you leave it, there’s this feeling that you can’t shake. You just miss it." Neal Cassidy

False romantic lead vs plucky underdog.
We know this story ends.

ParticipantOh, I love Sheldon so much. He has the answer to everything. His wisdom will prevail.
Keeper of Rumplestiltskin's and Neal's spears and war paint and crystal ball.

Harry Potter. Buffy Summers. Frodo Baggins. Luke Skywalker. Emma Swan. Odysseus. Neal Cassidy.
Sometimes, you gotta slay a dragon or cross worlds before you can find home.

ParticipantDo y’all have room for one more to hide out in your Tallahassee-shaped castle? Full intro to follow tomorrow (I should be asleep… but instead I’m here… doing this…) but I have a serious need to make some shipping happen. The notepad on my phone is getting entirely too cluttered with my random SF observations and I would love to unload…
Cause this story needs some mending & a better happy ending...
