Heather and RG as someone who went through various types of families growing up, I can identify with several family situations on OUAT. I know what its like growing up without a mother, I know what its like growing up without a father, and no matter what parent is missing, you want them to be a part of your life. I don’t understand the desire to wish a child lose a father who loves him so much he was willing to die for him not to be alone. Nor do I understand taking pleasure in some ones pain or sorrow. Like I said I don’t love all the characters but I want all the characters to get some variation of a happy ending.

Yeah the negativity was…*ever* so much fun. I really thought it might end when we had the show back. Can’t wait to read your thoughts.

I don’t know if my thoughts are all that interesting or different than anyone else here… And they are all over the place at the moment.  I mostly want to ignore all the stuff that other people are saying that is going to happen and just focus on what we know for sure right now.

We know that Neal loves Emma and Henry and that he wants to do something, anything to get back to them.  It’s interesting to me that once Neal got over thinking himself not worthy of Emma’s love and denying his feelings, he’s been 100% committed to being there for Emma just like his is for Henry.  Once, Neal found out he was Henry’s father, he has been there as much as humanly possible and plans on being there for his son no matter what.

We know that Neal also wants to find out what happened to his father.  So that sets up Belle and his adventure in finding Rumple.  I am so looking forward to this.  I think it’ll be a great time for them to bond and also be there for one another.

Neal is like Emma, in that once he sets his mind to something, he won’t stop until he achieves it.  (Like going through the bean portal to a land without magic so that he could have his father back, saving the Darlings even at the cost of leaving them and the new family he had found, getting back to Emma and Henry after being shot and sent through another bean hole, just to name a few.)

I just can’t believe, I don’t want to believe that A&E would write such a real and emotional story of a boy who lost everything (first his mother, then his father, then another family and so forth), to find something with another person (Emma) and then have to give that person up and then finally be re-united with her and then find out he has a son (Henry), finally get his father back (and a new step-mommy?) and then rip that all away from him with another curse and then never let him reunite with any of them!?!  What kind of message would that be?  Be a good person and try to live a normal life and bad things will keep on happening to you?  I have to believe that this isn’t the message that they want to send.  I have to believe that they see that Neal deserves some happiness in his life, that he is also the happiness that other characters want to have in their lives as well.  Henry wants his father, Rumple wants his son, and even Emma wants Neal in her life even if only to make Henry happy.  Until they show me otherwise on the show, I have to believe that they aren’t going to abandon Nealfire again too.

Preach it, Astra!

So – this was my night.

Wasn’t sure what to expect but it’s actually quite good! I suspect we will need to invest in Costco-sized tubs of cocoa powder over here. We already have enough cinnamon to feed an army.  My bestie had some too, Serendipity mug in honor of Manhattan! We watched 2×12 through 2×15 with our other roomie and then had an OUAT meeting of the minds to answer lots of questions, “So, wait, Gold didn’t know that Henry was Bae’s, right?” She did not figure out that Bae = Neal ahead of time so her expression was pretty priceless… “Neal?” “Emma!” We looked at her and just got, “Oh!”

I thought my mug was unthemed until bestie reminded me that in fact, it did tie in – Small World debuted at the World’s Fair which was in NYC (Queens.) Good times…

Roomie declared that tomorrow we are finishing Season 2. She has LOTS of questions about Neverland – apparently saw a clip and thinks Peter Pan is young Bae. Um, no, but we’ll get there soon enough. So we will have some good SF feels heading into tomorrow’s episode… all good things, I suppose! 🙂

Cause this story needs some mending & a better happy ending...

I thought my mug was unthemed until bestie reminded me that in fact, it did tie in – Small World debuted at the World’s Fair which was in NYC (Queens.) 

My parents were at that World’s Fair.  I remember them talking about riding It’s A Small World there before it ever hit Disneyland.

…and Go, Swanfire! (To actually make this post at least a bit on topic. 😛 )
