KeymasterSF really did have a couple of lovely moments in this ep. Sucks that those moments are completely overshadowed and seem worthless.
That’s exactly what I think. So much wasted potential. It could have been a beautiful, meaningful sacrifice that came about at the end of the season. After Neal helped his son to remember. After he and Emma got a chance to talk so she developed as a character. After Neal had gotten his affairs in order. This was just a completely gratuitous death.
that’s exactly it. This wasn’t resolution or closure. Not for Emma, not for Henry, not for Rumple.
This was just “kill this character already because plot”

ParticipantI’m in Adele kind of mood today.
“Set Fire to the Rain”
“Rolling in the Deep”

ParticipantMaybe it’s just me but I think they’ve greatly underestimated how upset and angry this death has made the fandom. Even people who weren’t SF shippers or didn’t care for Neal didn’t like the episode last night which is VERY telling about the poor writing and contrived plots that came out of nowhere. Adam running away from Twitter doesn’t surprise me at all because I think he’s reading posts and realizing how much they effed up this story.
BTW-Something big apparently happened on The Walking Dead last night (I don’t watch so I don’t know what it was) but one of the actors has all ready done an interview with TV Line about that episode. If we don’t hear anything from MRJ or heck, the rest of the cast today in some way, shape, or form, I am going to be livid and really upset. Someone say something at this point! Don’t leave us hanging this way. 😥

ParticipantKnow the saying “no body, no death”, I’m adopting the mantra, “no exit interview, no death.” If this thing was legit, you’d think he’d have done an interview with one of the big TV sites and they would have published it right after the ep aired. As infuriating as the silence is, the longer it goes on, the more it makes me suspect shenanigans. You don’t kill off a main character on your TV show and not attempt to get media mileage out of it, that’s just ridiculous. If an interview DOES come out, then I’ll change my tune, but as of right now, I’m not buying it.
This is where I am right now. When people leave a show, there’s some kind of exit interviews with the person, the cast, the writers… somebody or multiple somebodies. MRJ should make some kind of statement in some way. That he enjoyed his time with the show, that he’s looking forward to the future, that he supports the direction of the show… SOMETHING. Even diplomatically, there should be a response.
ALSO, I canNOT believe that they didn’t hype this as a death show. Why not?! That is where the ratings come in. People who’ve left come back for that type of stuff.
The silence only begs conjecture at this point.

KeymasterBorn of true love….that’s how it survived.
*sigh*

Adam vanished. He saw one tweet that demanded he come to Twitter, answered it and then left again.
He responds to every bait tweet, argues with people online, defends himself… where is he today?! I swear, watching his banter with complete A–holes online drives me nuts. He’ll respond to every belligerent person whose ships are still in play, and he won’t respond to people whose ship has (apparently) just sunk. And our questions are legit… If Neal is dead, then he can respond to our questions without #nospoilers. The spoiler is over…. right????
WTH?

Absolutely no build up to his death + no exit interview = MRJ wanted off and ABC is trying to keep it hush hush

True that.
And then there’s also this confusing timeline of MRJ filming, which doesn’t jive with 3×15 being MRJ’s last curtain call ever. For someone who supposedly won’t ever be coming back to the show, he’s already been back quite a bit…
Those are just the instances that we know of. So time with tell what will become of this terrible situation. But it still seems contrived and gratuitous to me.

I think the 319 stuff we thought was just a reshoot for this episode. The girl he worked with was a Belle-double. Probably reshooting some stuff from the DC.
