ParticipantI would love that RG.
I am kind of worried there’ll be some dramatic schmaltzy moment like this, Emma will get to Pan’s camp, and Pan will offer her Neal’s life if she tells Henry goodbye. He says Emma don’t do it! Emma will hesitate, then Pan will laugh and say maybe it is the wrong bait, and offer her Hook’s life for Henry. Hook will tell her the same, take Henry. Before she has the chance to “choose”, Henry will say enough, stop, he doesn’t want anyone to die for him, he WANTS to stay. They don’t need him to be happy but NL does, and if Pan lets everyone Henry loves go, then he’ll choose to stay.
And cue tears. It’s just the kind of thing they might do in terms of shaking up the goals, as in season 1 it was Break Curse. Season 2 it is “Save Henry.” So who knows what S3 is–save their sanity, I don’t know because Henry really has glued all these people together.

ParticipantDespite tonight featuring the CS kiss, the final scene between Hook and PP has set the stage for a very interesting plot development for CaptainSwanFire!
Peter Pan: You really should’ve taken my deal.
Captain Hook: It doesn’t look like I need your help with Emma after all, mate.
PP: Do you think that kiss actually meant something?
Hook: I do. I think it means she’s really starting to see me for the man I am.
PP: What, a one-handed pirate with a drinking problem? I’m no grown up, but I’m pretty sure that’s less than appealing.
Hook: A man of honor.
PP: So, tell me. What would a man of honor like yourself do with a big, fat secret?
Hook: Well, that depends what the secret is.
PP: Baelfire, Neal, whatever name he goes by these days, the guy Emma loves, Henry’s father.
Hook: What of him? He’s dead.
PP: No, I’m afraid not. He’s alive. That’s not even the best part. He’s in Neverland!
Hook: He’s here?
PP: Oh, yes. Can you believe it? I’m sure that Emma would love to know that Henry’s father is still alive, but I’d hate that to get in the way of a budding romance. So, I leave it up to you, to tell her or not. Let’s see what kind of man you really are.SF fans have been saying all along that Hook’s dilemma would be whether or not he again tries to seduce a woman Neal loves. First, it was Bae’s mother, and now it’s the mother of Bae’s child. Low and behold, Peter Pan is testing to see whether Killian Jones will abandon Baelfire again. Colin O’Donoghue has said repeatedly that Hook has sincere paternal love for Milha’s boy. Yet if Hook were to make a play for Emma, especially now that Hook is the only one of his group who knows Neal is alive, then he will have twice wronged Bae, just like when he seduced Bae’s mother and she abandoned her son. Now Killian has the chance to go after Neal after he let Bae go from his ship the first time. Will Kill prove to be a man of honor? I have every faith that he will.

KeymasterFirst off huzzah! I can stop spoiling “kiss” out of everyone’s posts! (RG hated this week) And we can stop saying THINGS!
I think Hook believes in a thieves honor. I think he misses Bae just as much as Emma. He’ll want to tell her tell her.
And I need to say this and the shipping threads are supposed to be a safe haven but did it feel like Hook stepped up his pursuing of Emma to like warp speed? Why? The girl obviously had a visible reaction in the cave last week to Neal? Did I miss something?

ParticipantJosh Dallas, Jennifer Morrison and Colin O’Donoghue were all live-tweeting during the show. Pretty funny stuff. 🙂

ParticipantRG: there was a certain oddness to this episode. It just felt very….”we listen to our fans!” heavy. The “Our son” lines,Regina using magic, the kiss, the focus on Hook saving Charming (the Bromance!). Snowing Kiss. Neal getting drugged and thrown in a cage….just pretty much what fans wanted. And then things they didn’t know they did (Flying ships, Snarky Pan).
Yet underneath all that were many things that seemed more than a bit out of character for how these people usually interact. We have Emma going full bonkers with allowing Regina to take a heart. Then Emma and Hook were totally flirting it up, along with DaddyCharming wagging his finger about it. Up until now, all were a bit more reserved. Regina as well was downright chummy with Snow and Emma, like she’s the slightly but not entirely reformed criminal pal they turn to for the hook-up with a problem that requires a solution just outside the law (like frequent guest stars on Burn Notice played). You know, not someone who less than a week ago wanted to kill all of them, and last week was seething and sassy from her corner.
The best part though is, it is over and I was sort of right about Hook finding out first about Neal and being in a moral dilemma. I thought it would happen that he’d pick something of Neal’s off the ground, but Pan telling him works too. I do think Hook will tell Emma, because it is bad character growth if he doesn’t. I had also wondered if Pan would offer Hook that type of deal to sail away with Emma, but it appears that Hook turned it down, so it’s real growth for now. I’m not surprised though as I said, I had a feeling they’d give Hook fans everything they wanted in terms of redeeming the guy.
Yet what choice is it for Emma if she’s picking between two horrible characters? I feel like they had to do this if SF is going to be believable, that she’s choosing to return to Neal, when they did meet so young. She has to have a sense of her other options in a way, before knowing where her heart feels at home.

KeymasterI think it just came on so fast: up until this point Hook has been interested in Emma, sure. But he is giving her time to grieve. He held a small memorial for Neal in the JR, he gave her the sword, he praised Nealfire as a pirate and as someone who escaped NL. He’s also clearly been mourning for Nealfire himself. And then suddenly this episode he’s “trying to bond” by saying that he knows what it is to give up hope and eying her like a letch. I get that he’s a pirate and that is part of his character but it just seemed to come out of nowhere. All his glances up until now have been in the distance, watching carefully.

I really hope that once Neal is back with the group, the entire triangle goes on a break so we can focus on the story arcs. I’m still not on board with Hook telling Emma. I think he will come incredibly close but someone get there first.

ParticipantI definitely got a weird vibe on the episode tonight, like everyone was just a hair off character, but then that’s probably the point. They’re all under stress and it is getting to them. It starts off, after all, with Henry making a sword to attack a boy with a stick.
Pan is playing his game and we’ve yet to see what it is that motivates him, but he definitely is getting a kick out torturing everyone.

Those are my thoughts too, though I’m hoping for Hook’s sake , he does the right thing even if at the wrong time. I want to see Hook step up as Neal’s father figure (since Rumple is fighting his own demons). It would be very fitting for Hook to help rescue Neal after letting the Lost Boys take Baelfire the first time.

ParticipantWe’ve been saying for ages that Hook will have a choice, to try and be with Emma despite it hurting Nealfire, or to do the respectful thing and step back. So I LOVE that they’ve put Hook in a situation where he has to make that choice, but with the added layer of knowing the truth and the choice to tell or not. I may or may not have actually said out loud, “Thank you Pan, love your style,” and may or may not have even applauded. This will be the ultimate test of Hook’s character, and how he truly feels about Nealfire. Bae once told Hook that he’ll never change, and Hook replied that he could change, for him. Now he’s getting another chance, and I hope he takes it, and proves Bae’s statement wrong.
