I love that Emma knew what it meant when Bae’s scratch marks on the wall stopped. She may not have known specifics of Neal’s past, there were things he just couldn’t tell her like, “My father abandoned me down a beanhole and I lived in a cave in NL for a couple centuries.” But she’s now learning that he knows the exact same pain she grew up with. He knows the longing for a family and home, and the sense of hopelessness that it will never happen. He really, truly gets that, and Emma’s learning that about him right now. So now if she thinks back to how he said in that bar in Manhattan that he was trying to get her home, she now knows why he did it, because he wanted her to have that dream of family come true, because he truly knew what it would mean to her. It’s not gonna erase the hurt of having been left, but it’s gonna give her a new understanding of why he did.

And just in: a CSF scoop which RG posted here! Once again, I’m posting most of my thoughts here because of feels.

Prepare yourself CaptainSwan lovers because this ship is about to face a rough storm. Now that Neal is on the island and Pan oh-so impolitely revealed this news to Hook, we’re about to witness a heated debate for Emma’s heart. But Colin O’Donoghue exclusively tells us that Hook’s relationship with Neal is “extremely complicated.” He explains, “Even though now technically they seem to be about the same age, Hook is old enough to kind of be his father figure, and I think an element of him still sees Neal as that little boy.” This is one stange love triangle. Especially when you recall that Hook used to hook up with Neal’s mom!It’s happening as we’ve all been saying! Captain Hook’s claim to be a man of honor is really going to be put to the test. Will he do the selfish thing and keep it from Emma or will he do what it takes to save Milha’s boy? I have hope he’ll continue on his upward trend of changing and actually fighting for his de facto son figure, Baelfire. Helping to save his son figure would brilliantly parallel Emma fighting to rescue her son. It would also be a contrast to Neal’s broken relationship with his father to see Hook and Neal working on developing their father-son dynamic by Hook making the unselfish choice. As for Emma, I think we’re about to see a major truth-reveal about Milha having been Bae’s mother, the woman whom Hook seduced. That piece of information might come from Neal himself, and then Emma will be left questioning Hook’s attentions to her.

If Emma, Snowing and Hook haven’t managed to save Neal by the end of 3×6, then they’ll almost certainly have freed him by 3×7. I think the SF reunion will be emotional for sure, both positive and negative. Also, the question in my mind is how come they can manage to save Neal but not Henry?

I agree!!! So far we’ve had #SaveHenry and #SaveCharming and now we gottaSaveNeal! but we haven’t done the first and the second was a bit of a cheat.
