I’ve been gone for a while, so I apologize if this has already been addressed, but since when does Emma hate Happy or any of the dwarves? What have I missed???

This is either a joke (and in bad taste) OR….it’s a nod to the JMo/Michael Coleman blow up on Twitter that happened about a year ago.
I’d really like to believe it’s not the latter cause that would just be totally unprofessional. But Emma hating Happy did feel like it came out of left field.

That’s really good to know, but I would keep in mind that the writers aren’t likely to say “yes this is reference to the blow up on Twitter.”

Long story short:
Michael Coleman did an AshMichael on Twitter. Someone asked about SwanQueen (Regina/Emma ship). Michael said some things about SQ and those fans in regards what goes on behind the scenes (AKA: what Lana and JMO really think). He walked it back later, but it was too late. Adam had to step in and say something too. Lana handled it gracefully but JMo pubicially called out Michel, yelling at him.

I’m glad she loves all of Emma’s “ships” and her fans and I respect her defending them, but her reaction read a little grandiose to me. Her whole day? I love JMo’s portrayal of Emma, but the response seemed like she wanted to fan the flames. I think Lana handled it best. Please don’t hate me! This was only the impression I got from what I read.
Yeah, that was a weird joke.
If it had just been the first one from Hook, I’d write it off as a little funny from the usually sarcastic and funny pirate. But then Charming goes and does it while looking at a picture of Michael Coleman and JMo and it stuck in everyone’s head: Emma really doesn’t like Happy. I get that Jane walked it back on Twitter in response to POM, but again, the writers aren’t going to admit that they stuck in a little jab at the fight between the two….
It’s one of those things that we’ll never know for sure but it feels weird the more you think about it.
