if you check Jennifer’s twitter feed (screen shot below) one of her fans asked about it

apparently it is something that is yet to be revealed (and part of Emma’s character.)

Well now I wish we had a clearer view of it so we could over analyse it. LOL

That is interesting. I had noticed it, but i just thought it was the actors tattoo. Now i wonder as well.

That’s pretty clever. So many actors and actresses have tattoos these days (and wrists seem to be especially popular) that they knew that if anyone noticed it they would probably assume it was her personal tattoo and wouldn’t give it a second thought!

It really is clever because that is exactly what i did. I noticed and didn’t think a thing of it. Not even enough to mention it.

Perhaps it is for the show. After all if she is sent away to another world or whatever? Someone put that mark on her to identify her. Tattoos can be like id. I’m sure Emma does not have a card saying she is the savior and how can non believers trust the word of a person who began as a non believer? In a lot of movies the hero is identified by birthmark, tattoo, or scar. The mark was put on her after the wardrobe and in the next world probably by that seven year old boy or what have ya.

So I can’t claim any credit for this, it was pointed out by a friend, but Emma’s tattoo looks kinda like the flowers from the Coat of Arms of the Charming/Snow/King George Kingdom. They’re not identical (5 vs 6 petals, no sepals on the tattoo), but I thought it was worth sharing.
There’s also a pic of the tattoo from the Once Upon A Time fansite (http://ouatv1.blogspot.com)

Heroes and saviors in movies and shows or whatever……have a scar or tattoo or birthmark identifying them to be just that. If it is the mark of who she is someone will recognize it and say, “hey you are the savior!””we are all saved!!!!” Well not that dramatic but Henry via the book or August will be the identifiers maybe even Gold will know the mark. That is if of course it is what it is? It doesn’t seem to be a mistake.

Thanks for the better pic, romantic_sheep. Hmmm, interesting. Maybe as the next generation she scores an extra petal on her emblem? That’s all I’ve got off the top of my head. LOL

Interesting things about the coat of arms in the picture; those 7 flowers. Seven in an important number; Regina mentions 7 is the number of addresses she’ had in the past, 7 is the number of dwarves who helped Snow (let’s exclude Stealthy). There are 7 flowers above that chevron above what appears the be a griffin or dragon, maybe a lion. Seven is a key number. Emma has met I believe only 3 of the 7 dwarves. Just saying Regina mentioned 7 and pointing out the 7’s I noticed. It is imporrtant would anyone agree????
