ParticipantThought I’d start a thread just for this, because it’s just a little thing, but it’s still sort of a big thing, because Graham hasn’t been mentioned by anyone since he died, which has been a bit disappointing, and I really wish they’d mentioned in the show somehow that…

KeymasterI did not know that. That’s very interesting. Good for the wardrobe people and JMo for keeping Graham alive that way.

ParticipantInteresting! Emma is certainly sentimental. She wears things from the men who impacted her life, first Neal and then Graham. It’s odd that the scene from 1×22 of Emma confronting Regina about Graham’s death just got cut like that. Clearly, Graham got under Emma’s skin and he set her on a path of being the town sheriff.

ParticipantDoes Emma know he saved her mother’s life? I think Emma was starting to genuinely fall in love with Graham, but it was who she thought he was, and the interesting thing is is we will never get to know unless they slow down and have some conversations about it since Graham isn’t going to explore it with Emma. Unless he pops up in Nl for a dream /subconscious sequence.
So many things don’t add completely up in this show, but it is nice for continuity for Emma to wear something from Graham. He was important to her, and she should remember him.“If I had a world of my own, everything would be nonsense. Nothing would be what it is, because everything would be what it isn't. And contrary wise, what is, it wouldn't be. And what it wouldn't be, it would. You see?” -- Lewis Carroll, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland & Through the Looking-Glass

KeymasterThat’s what I love about Emma–she has all these walls up but she keeps things from her past that remind her of times when she may have been loved:
–her baby blanket (I’ve often wondered if she thought there was more to her story because how does a parent abandon a baby with an elaborate baby blanket.)
–the pendant and the bug
–Graham’s shoelace
Makes me wonder if she kept anything from when Henry was born.

ParticipantI did not know that.
No one did until JMo sent that tweet. Tumblr has exploded with Gremma FEELS.

ParticipantI thought this was very interesting as well but I love the detail!
Miss “I’m not sentimental” – let’s see…
Granny’s baby blanket with her name on it? Still has it (and has moved it with her from home to home)
Neal’s car? Still uses it
Neal’s keychain/necklace? Gave it back but wore it for over a decade
Graham’s shoelace? Still wears it
Hook’s scarf (soaked in blood & rum and should really be garbage by now if it had no sentimental attachment)? Last we saw it was locked in her desk at the Sheriff’s office where she kept his hook.
Yeah…she’s not sentimental at all…
I really really wish that line about Graham hadn’t been cut too. He was the 1st guy that got her to open up again after everything she’s been through and losing him was obviously very painful to her. I want Regina to be confronted about that so badly!
Edited to add: I think I blocked out a lot of the Gremma stuff (feels!) but Emma has Graham’s jacket & the walkie-talkies as well! (I love how she initially didn’t want to take them – probably too sentimental – but then wouldn’t allow them to go to Regina. Yay for Rumple coming through with them cause I wanted her to have them, for her and for Henry). Yeah she’s not remotely sentimental. Nope.

ParticipantI did up a chart once, annoyed at people ignoring the things Hook’s done to Emma and emphasizing Neal’s sins, and somehow it didn’t seem complete without some of Emma’s other ships on there…
Doing my best to keep things even, Graham hurt her the least and did the most for her. Spreadsheet wise, Gremma won. (Though even he locked her up in jail…like Hook…and Neal…and Regina for that matter.)
Things are def going to change this season, but yeah, this tweet gave me SUCH Gremma feels. I’m glad he’s not really forgotten.

ParticipantI LOVED that little tidbit that came out the other night when Jen was tweeting and I’m glad I wasn’t the only one who had a WTH?! moment too! That’s incredibly sweet and I agree with the rest of you about Emma’s sentimentality. She definitely keeps her walls up most of the time but does keep a few things when they really matter to her. 🙂
Count me as another wondering if Emma has something from when Henry was born. Did we ever find out what was in that one box that she was holding in episode 1×4 when her stuff was delivered to MM’s apartment? It looked like a cigar box but I don’t remember her ever opening it. Now I’m even more curious as to what might be in it! 😉
