Perhaps Emma’s birthday was missed because Emma and Snow were stuck in FTL and they had more important things to worry about like trying to get back to Storybrooke before Cora?
That’s possible too.

The Doctor was the halloween episode. Was it halloween in Storybrooke at the time of that episode?
That was around Halloween.

obisgirl- we’ve theorised Emma’s birthday is in October because that is when the series started and that is when the curse was cast according to Welcome to Storybrooke.
.
I know. I was just checking when the pilot aired to double-check.

if not im supporting the whole it was when Emma and Snow were in FTL and that we are going to see in the Lacey henrys 12th birthday
also I want Snows/Reginas ages because it would help so muchKeeper of Swanfire's dream catcher, the Blue Fairy Plot Device, the contact name "Her", the lanyards, the trigger, the Netherworld room and necklace, Charming's quote on Thanksgiving, and PP's pic of Henry

I remember from the Cinderella episode that Emma said she was 18 when she had Henry but we were pretty much told in Tallahassee that she was still 17 then, so it’s very likely that she had a birthday sometime during her last moments with Neal or while she was in jail. Either way, it does appear like we could have missed her birthday sometime since she apparently turned 18 sometime while she was in jail and pregnant with Henry. If time really hasn’t matched up with real time for the show (which makes sense), then theoretically, her birthday could still be coming and they could mention it next season. Technically, if she turned 18 before Henry was born, she could then be turning 29 after he turned 11 and that would put her time in Storybrooke to be about 6-7 months total which does work out with what we know from past episodes. I have NO CLUE if any of this paragraph makes sense and it’s scary how much time I’ve spent figuring this all out tonight, LOL 😆

Emma’s 29th birthday would have already past. I think Emma was really 17 going on 18 (not YET 18) when she had Henry, and the writers made a mathematical error. If this is true, Henry's birthday would be in April and it would be his 12th. “Lacey” airs on April 21st.

Then that makes Henry an April baby, like me 😀

They more than likely passed over Emma’s 29th birthday while they were in the Enchanted Forest. The show had started in October, it had been roughly one year… and we just watched Snow’s birthday pass which we know is in the mid of winter. Because of that, Emma’s 29th birthday must have already come and gone. Hopefully we see her 30th birthday. I wrote a small fic (http://www.fanfiction.net/s/9114168/1/Celebrate) about it when this Emma’s bday discussion was hitting tumblr a few weeks ago.

Which picture has the 12 candles? On the close up of Henry with the cake, I can only count 11 candles.
All magic comes with a price!
Keeper of FelixMarch 30, 2013 at 11:50 pm #183401schmackyParticipantThe close up one. It looks like two in the middle, but the flame doesn’t look right to only be two. Flame looks like three. But, it could be two., it could be two.
April 2, 2013 at 4:37 am #183858wewerecursedParticipantI only counted eleven candles. There is just no way he could be twelve already. He was ten in the pilot, and eleven by The Cricket Game (Emma says, “you’re right, eleven is old enough to walk to the bus alone” or something like that.) and the creators said that as of (I think) The Queen of Hearts a year had not yet passed, so there’s just no way. Emma’s birthday could have been passed over, which is disappointing no matter which way you look at it simply because her birth is the basis of the story, but there’s just no way Henry is twelve already. But, I guess we’ll find out in a few weeks!
Maybe Emma’s birthday will be the season finale?
April 2, 2013 at 8:38 pm #184000Killian JonesParticipantthe only thing that bothers me with the whole happening the same time as the air-dates thing is then when Rumple brought magic to Storybrooke that means that everyone froze in time over the summer hiatus? I don’t think that happened so I’m more inclined to think that the actual present time in the show is a summer hiatus behind where we are unless the time gets made up between episodes during the season? Like maybe Snow and Emma were in The EF until December from last May or whenever season one ended?
