Just re-watching the Pilot for the uptenth time and finally got a – blurry – shot from Emma’s door.

What I make out of it: (X stands for missing number or letter; … stands for more than one, even whole words)

    …0X,5 …
    … 904,1 greening 265,X
    902,6 enhance cast a spell …
    X65,5 …t 650,6 capt…
    … cast a spell Xeg…l
    …pt… transport enXa…
    t… Xssme…e entranced as
    d… 595,25 overjoyed

Can you make out more? I’ve always wondered if it had a meaning or if it was just something not at all related …
“cast a spell” “transport” and “entranced” does sound promising, doesn’t it? Maybe it has soemthing to do with the curse??

I don’t know. It looks like a spell list or something like that. It seems fairytale like. It is interesting.

mia I see mesmerized before entranced on that first door
also dreamy for the first word of the last line there

I have to tell you that the numbers on the door followed by a word remind me of a thesaurus key, especially with the dot.

Maybe they were looking up words for their writing ideas and someone wrote them across her door

In fact the more I look at it the more convinced I am that those are thesaurus words with the numbers in front of them — 304.1 opening 265.7 door 302.6 entrance AND
    865.8 fascinate 650.6 captivate
    spellbind, cast a spell, beguile

the words in sections or lines seem related as if they are looking for the right word to use

Or maybe reference numbers for the Storybrooke library?

It took me some time but I found it: OUAT – Dark Curse Spell text compared to Emma’s Swan’s door.

It’s a blog post from Jeff & Colleen’s fan podcast. the theory is that the text is actually the same text as the actual Dark Curse.

I’m digging the thesaurus idea. The word can be either a noun (the entrance to a room) or a verb (you entrance me), and all the other words on the door are synonyms of either interpretation.

Still kinda lost on the significance of the numbers though.

Also, if I weren’t a renter, I’d SO be painting my front door to look like Emma’s. Such a cool idea.

I really hate to burst everyone’s bubble, but… The set people have mentioned in a few interviews (early in the season) that the door was on set/location when they got there and since they liked it they used it. It has no connection to the storyline whatsoever.
