Don’t worry iShirli, you’re not bursting any bubbles. It is pretty cool they actually found such a themed door at the set! 🙂
My guess is that it is the cure to the curse. Some characters have said sometimes the answers are right in front of you without ever realizing it. Who knows how long Emma has seem that on her door and never thought to question it until now if she ever goes back there she can take August’s advise and reexamine things with different perspective.
The numbers do look like Dewey classification numbers, but I can ‘t detect a connection between them and the words. For instance, 302.5 in Dewey is the classification for “the relation between an individual and society “–nothing to do with “foyer.”
But I suspect the writers have used Dewey before. In “Lost” the bearing that a ship is supposed to follow to get to the island hapens to be the same number that in Dewey represents immigration and colonization (325).
By the way, am I the only one who wonders what Emma’s done about that gorgeous apartment? We’ve never seen her cancel her lease so I’ve been wondering if she’s kept the place, just in case SB doesn’t work out.
I doubt it. Do you know how expensive that apartment would be? And the furniture isn’t hers so she was leasing fully furnished.

Emma left that apartment. She apparently went back to the apartment to pack her stuff before she moved into MM’s place. When she drove Henry into SB she did not pack any stuff nor did she have time to. She was not expecting to stay in SB. She was just going to drop off Henry and leave. SHe only decided to stay in SB when she got there and only decided to moved into MM’s place when she could not find a place and after she decided to stay.
At this point I’m sure you’ve all determined what was going on with Emma’s door. But, for those who haven’t heard or read,… @ishirli had it correct when it was stated that the door was already there and they decided to just keep it.
@Phee was also correct when she thought Thesaurus. The writing on Emma’s door is the thesaurus def.’ for “entrance”….One last trivia for this door, or actually, the pic of this door where emma is holding it open with her left hand. Emma’s tattoo is seen at her dinner scene with Ryan (who played “Big Cat”w/long hair on October Road), but it is missing in this scene with Henry as she holds open the door with her left hand exposing her inner wrist.
