Was it just me or was Emma’s integation of the outsider just a little wierd?
1) How could he NOT tell she was hiding something. She was so obvious.
2) How could she NOT tell he was hiding something (especially with her SUPER POWER!!)
3) The whole thing was just wierd, the way she was talking to him and interacting with him. I mean I know she was nervous because they had so much riding on it, but come on…isn’t she suppose to be the SHERRIFF?[adrotate group="5"]January 21, 2013 at 7:18 pm #169469tiara_roseParticipantYeah I know what you mean, Belle.
-Ok, so you texting with your mobile phone, altough it is not allowed and killed almost a man on the road, but be not afraid I’m the sheriff and I only give you warning. –
I mean she grew up in our world and should know that what she does was absolutely wrong and stupid. I mean, if he wouldn’t hit Hook, there were somebody, who made this man a process. If the Mendell saw magic. I think you can tell him that he thinks that he saw something, because of a trauma caused by the accident.
But that crap of Emma would make anybody suspicious. I hope the man is from another land. In the moment my guess would be a professor or somebody who want to discover things, because of his name Greg Mendell, who made in real live studies of genetics, so this leads me to OZ.
Also I think the name Rumpel “Holme” stiltskin is also a hint to Gregor Mendell, who was for the cover of his book photographed by James King-Holmes.
There were so many genetics themes in their, like Rumpel with the orb to find his son. The whole episode was about science and family and in the end they go to a journey to find Bealfire. I mean for me their are so many hints that there will be more revealed when they find Bea. Rumpel will not only find his son. He will find his grandson and will be ashamed to threaten him, altough he was desperate to get somebody to protect Belle. His anger couldn’t allow him to ask: “Hey, I know you and your family. Your good in watching for everybody. Belle don’t let me watch over her. Please take care of her, because I only hurt her? I have to find my son and then I can be the man that help Belle, because if I stay I will be complete lost to the Beast I am, when she or my son is not around.”

January 21, 2013 at 7:35 pm #169473PriceofMagicParticipantRumple was lashing out because he was hurting. He needed someone to watch over Belle and asking nicely just wasn’t going to cut it. Rumple isn’t good at expressing his emotions and though he may show his soft side to Belle, he doesn’t want others to see him as weak.

January 21, 2013 at 7:50 pm #169478PriceofMagicParticipantEmma should have had Charming in with her. It wouldn’t have been too suspicious because he is deputy sheriff. Emma practically gave it away that Greg may have seen something he shouldn’t.

If he didn’t know anything before that, he would surely suspect something after that confrontation!
January 21, 2013 at 8:36 pm #169486beastwhispererParticipantEmma’s interrogation of Greg was completely shady. It would be simle to downplay events from a sudden accident in the dark. He looked like he hit his head on the wheel when they were first checking him, so there’s an easy case for head trauma even. There was no need to make a big production about it and make things look suspicious when any average person could easily wri te it off. Just ask for his version of events. Then give him a story about a group of people with car trouble out on the road with a road flare and looking for help. She could easily casually ask after Greg’s “concussion” by saying he looks kinda sick and that Dr Whale instructed her to tell him if Greg had any nausea or ringing in the ears, etc. If she can diagnose broken ribs, she should know something about head injuries. Whale would back her up.

Like I said in the chatroom, she should have said they were filming a movie! haha
January 22, 2013 at 7:09 pm #169617PriceofMagicParticipantHaving rewatched the episode, I’m not entirely convinced that Emma believed Greg.
