I know I ask a lot of questions related to my writing but surely you guys are going to give the most insightful answers. So Emma gets a phone call (post2x09) from her Dad saying Snow collapsed and has been brought into hospital. When she arrives they find out MM has low blood pressure which caused the collapse and the reason for the blood pressure levels is high levels of hCG. She is four months pregnant.
In this scene I had Emma appear very shocked and quickly removes herself from the situation however a week or two later when the first scan reveals bad health for the bub Emma is the one who coaxes MM to talk about it although Emma simply listens.
How would you expect her to continue to react? Do you think she’s voice her feelings to mom or dad? Do you think she’ll turn and love her brother before or after his birth? Or after Spencer gets involved and tries to hurt Charming via his wife and unborn baby? Any other thoughts on Emma and how she would find this?

I think Emma will support Snow and be happy for her throughout the pregnancy and birth. However, I think when Snow and the baby return from the hospital, and the situation becomes a bit more real in that there is another living being in the house and family, then Emma is going to start to withdraw. This baby will get the childhood that Emma should have had so I can see that playing on Emma’s mind a bit. I could see Emma subtly avoiding having anything to do with the baby such as having something in her hands so she can’t hold him, having somewhere else she needs to be so she can’t babysit him etc.

All magic comes with a price!
