Emma's smoke

upon watching siege perilous again, I noticed that Emma’s smoke when she magics out is grey with hints of white and dark. Regina’s is purple, the color of royalty. The mixture of dark and light is grey, yeah? Not completely dark??

I think that’s exactly what it means. Emma is dark now, but there is still some light in there. It’s still odd though. Rump was the dark one for centuries and his smoke color was primarily red (and occasionally purple in the beginning). Regina’s was black in the second episode I believe. I don’ t think we’ve seen Emma use “smokey” magic before, all times before its always be light and white.

I wonder what color it is/will be when she is no longer the dark one.

Rumple’s colors have mainly been red, purple, and black. I was once trying to catalog this but it got a bit overwhelming and they haven’t been overly consistent, especially with him and Regina (who is mainly purple but has other shades too).

I think in the earlier seasons they were not actually trying to assign certain colors to certain people. I think it was only in probably late season 2 where rumple officially became red and regina was officieally purple. I think after that is when it became more consistent.
