We’ve been to the Enchanted Forest in real time in previous seasons but now, I’m suddenly wondering going forward into season four, how relevant it’ll be to see Enchanted Forest in the present. Not just in season for but in future seasons as well.
Flashbacks to what happened there still make sense, in order to explain stuff in the present. But I think over all, we’re done with seeing EF in the present.
I don’t know. What do you all think?

In the past, obviously we’ll continue to see it.
I think we’re looking at a S1 type situation where we spend present day in SB and only see the EF in the past.
In fact, I’m starting to believe we’ll only see the EF in present day at the very end of the series when the worlds merge (I’m sticking my headcanon of Emma’s TL magic creating a bridge between worlds until this show goes off air)

So I think in season 4, what was taken up by present day EF in season 3 will now be taken up by Arendelle.

Well that could always change. Ariel and Eric are still in the EF. And who knows who else could there too. Hook said he traded someone his ship for the bean, so if Hooks ship comes into play we could see who has it in the EF.

No they aren’t. Eric was outside the reach of the curse, and Ariel has since joined him. If SB was recreated perfectly, then that means the entire EF was taken by Snow’s curse. Meaning that they aren’t in the EF.

I much prefer SB….much more closer! Instead of everyone having to ride around on horses for days to get somewhere, they can just take a car and be there in ten minutes! 😛
Besides…Having them live in our world is what makes the show magical….without that, it’d just be another Game of Thrones type of show.
But I do think there’s so much more in EF we need to see in the past:

What drove Regina away from learning Rumple’s magic as we saw in 3×03?
More Bandit Snow tale, like where did she get the Dark Pixie Dust
Shepherd David’s life, and his father’s history

Then of course many other Disney Stories like Hunchback of Notre Dame, Hercules, etc.
So we’ve got a lot of backstories to see, and history to uncover….

……What???? Now I am even more confused than before. I thought Hook outran the curse as in he got outside its boundaries. I didn’t know how that work since I thought the curse enveloped the whole world of the enchanted forest but just thought it was like a retcon thing or something. So I thought that Ariel and Eric were on some far off island that the curse didn’t reach and that they weren’t taken which is why Emma was able to look at them in the EF?
