Just saw this in my hulu notifications, but enhanced episodes on Once (& Revenge) are available on hulu to watch. Thus far, it looks like hulu has last Sunday’s “The Miller’s Daughter.”

Hopefully, they also get the one we saw the week before too b/c I would like some screencaps for memes. 😆

LOL, as long as you can find something good out of it perhaps it wasn’t a total waste.

ABC did the same thing with Revenge last night having an enhanced episode (and when I heard about it I thought they were nuts given how awful the OUAT ones were the week before – and not improved last night I might add) but they were brilliant! Clearly the idea was a good one, just the execution of it was awful.

Why can’t the PR department of Revenge work on OUAT stuff?? Two minutes into the show Revenge had interesting popups about the history of the show, the actors etc. Behind the scenes background info that was new and fun and interesting. What did we get? “you learned blah blah in episode __” well no kidding! *smacks forehead*

I totally avoided the enhanced version of OUaT last night because I didn’t want the Miller’s Daughter to be ruined in my head with the idiotic popups like “This is Belle. She was shot over the town line in The Outsider and doesn’t know why Mr. Gold is calling” and other such things. I’m guessing they were as bad as QoH?

I watched the enhanced episode last night and there were more behind the scenes stuff than with the QoH. so whoever’s in charge, was obviously listening. I like my Revenge but after watching like 10-15 minutes, I got bored and turned off.

Hmm. Maybe I’ll have to rewatch TMD then, because QoH was just…borderline hysterical. I do like Revenge but I find I can’t watch the episodes more than once.

They weren’t much better for the Miller’s Daughter and they basically included that one line you hoped they wouldn’t RG. It was laughable. Revenge at least put behind the scenes stuff. The only one I can think of for OUAT was that it took 20 professional dancers and 50 extras to film the ball scene. Everything else was you learned this in whatever episode and this is why Belle doesn’t remember etc etc.

I really don’t consider what they added to be behind the scenes stuff at all really, it was mostly what episodes things were from or people’s connections. They did try to explain exactly what we were seeing right then a couple of times but I didn’t really see the point in doing that for things that were pretty well explained within the episode. It didn’t give us anything new to work with.

I don’t normally watch episodes of Revenge a 2nd time but I did watch last night’s just to pay attention to the bottom of the screen. There were lots of good snippets about the actors and filming stuff we wouldn’t have learned just by watching the ep. Wish the people who do the OUAT ones would take a page out of Revenge’s playbook and do it the right way.

I was really concerned when I realized that ABC thought that OUAT’s enhancements last week were a good idea and they were spreading it out to other shows. Apparently it IS a good idea, just better executed by everybody but OUAT. Go figure :S

I did a Google search b/c I couldn’t find the Queen of Hearts Enhanced episode immediately on the page and found it here.

It took a few tries to get the cap I wanted on my Mac but I finally did and made this:

Thank you. Might re-watch the whole thing later and see if there’s other caps I can make.

I said this in the chat room last night, but I think a much better idea would be to air Extended Edition episodes with a few deleted scenes edited back in. That would require less commercial time, but I’m sure ABC can spare that for a special occasion like that. I’m also curious how commentary episodes would go on TV, as they would both be something new for the viewers and a great way to plug the DVD bonus features.
