I loved just about every second of this episode.
The library!
And the Don Juan lines–laughed SO HARD!
And Rumbelle’s “first” hug!
And Regina and Rumple being family and knowing it!
And Regina being all evil Mayor again. And Rumple trying to woo Lacey and ordering hamburgers and iced teas. And Granny’s suggestion that Belle had raided Ruby’s closet. And the little family moments for Emma, Neal, and Henry. And the Dwarves + Anton.Just…everything. The only thing I don’t like is that they saved the eventual choice Gold’s gonna have to make–how does he balance being dark enough to attract Lacey without going so dark that Belle will reject him?–for later. So I have to wait 🙁

Stupid Lacey. I was hoping I’d like her so that these next episodes wouldn’t be so frustrating but I don’t 🙁April 22, 2013 at 1:21 am #187626elleParticipantOkay, this episode is a bit mixed for me.
I really loved the Fairytale side–I am a bit sick of the love stories in this series. I wish that Robin Hood was doing something a bit different–like giving money to the poor and stealing from the rich. I know that sounds cliche and all, but there was more to the story of Robin Hood than romance, and I think OUaT has enough couples already.
But other than that, I really loved the scenes with Belle and Rumpelstiltskin and I thought it very in-character for them to have gone through this. It made a lot of sense that at first Rumpelstitlskin would be all unfriendly with her and that Belle would be wary. It was great to see them slowly fall in love, though I wish the episode had focused more on the relationship and had gotten rid of Robin Hood entirely–he didn’t really make a big impression.
Regina got on my nerves again–acting all woe is me once again and snapping at Emma for not talking to her about Neal and all. Glad that Emma called her out on the fact that Regina tried to kill them–not many of the characters seem to do that anymore.
I kinda wish we got more Prince Charming and Rumpelstitlskin bonding–I know they don’t quite get along, but it would have been great to see more of them like we did in The Crocodile.
Other than that, it was okay. The Fairytale side was great. The Storybrooke not so much–I’m also a bit mixed on Lacey. I get that she is the complete opposite, and they that was written was great, but also…I don’t know. It just kinda shows Rumpelstiltskin reverting back, and I didn’t really feel much on that scene.

I miss Belle. I want my Rumbelle back. And I need Rumple to fight his darkness.

Fav Moments:
-All of Rumbelle’s scenes in FTL made my day!
-Love Regina finally finding out about Neal and Henry’s connection and ultimately Rumples. They’re all one big messed up family!!!!
-Rumple begging Charming for dating advice again! LOL And Charming being Rumple’s wingman at the bar. Another LOL!
-Rumple asking “Lacey” out on a date.
-Seeing Robin and Maid Marion together
-Neal hanging out with Henry and playing sword fights and then Neal carrying an exhausted Henry home.
-Tamara bringing a tied up Hook back to Storybrooke. I really LOL’d at that.Least Fav Moments:
-All of Regina’s scenes made me roll my eyes. Ugh I can’t stand her anymore
-Lacey reverting Rumple back to the dark side. OMG Lacey is like Cora 2.0, only sluttier Please Rumple don’t turn dark!!!I think Rumple is gonna face the dilemma of trying to be “good” for his son and “dark” so Lacey won’t stray from him. Oh Rumple’s in for a real dozy! Could this be the game changer we’ve been hearing about with Neal????

I loved the Neal/Emma scene and not sure what Regina’s going to do now that she knows about the beans.
All I know is I am so glad Once is back.

I also loved him and Belle back at the hospital, and I thought the beginning of their date was cute. Granny’s line about raiding Ruby’s closet is classic!
I loved the Swanfire family scenes! Neal and Emma getting to have a bit of heartfelt conversation was lovely, and Henry having a wonderful day with his dad warms my heart to no end. I loved that after finding out about the beans and Charming’s plan to return to the EF, Emma asks how Neal feels about the possibility of returning home. She wants Neal and Henry happy and seperating them would be horrible. Plus, when Charming hinted that maybe back home Emma could have her happy ending, I’m sure Emma’s idea of her happy ending includes Neal. <3
Loved Rumple’s nightmare at the beginning of the episode. It reminded me of Belle’s nightmare in The Crocodile. Set in the shop, sweet moment turns awful when Rumple acts like a monster in front of loved ones, shared fear that Rumple is truly a monster, dreamer jerks awake alone in Rumple’s bed. The scenes make nice bookends to eachother.
The Rumple and Charming moments are great fun for me. It’s moments of the bromance I’ve always wanted between them. Grandpa bromance is the best!
On the not so favorite front:
Lacey loving Rumple’s dark side is sooooooooooooooo disturbing. I give them credit for not shying away from such a dark plotline with such a beloved character (particularly for those of us who LOVE the Disney film). It still scares me to no end to think about where this is headed and how Rumple can possibly avert disaster for both himself and Belle. I think it was meant to be highly disturbing and that it was really well done. Still, that means it’s highly disturbing. While the Sheriff of Nottingham is a pig, I don’t think he deserved such a vicious beating. We have no reason to believe that he knew the facts about Belle/Lacey. The bar owner doesn’t know her true identity. The flashback didn’t show the Sheriff learning Belle’s name, so it’s reasonable that he stupidly believed that she wasn’t with Rumple and just wanted to make out with him. He did try to apologize before Rumple flipped his lid. It’s even worse that the woman who initiated making out with him in the parking lot starts rousing Rumple to beat the guy for her amusement. I fear this is going to become a pattern for Rumple/Lacey.
Regina sure picked a perfect revenge to help Rumple backslide. Neal will be seriously furious. Well done, but very hard to watch. I need chocolate and adorable fics/vids for Rumbelle and Swanfire after tonight’s episode. A couple margaritas might help too. Lacey is going to have us all drinking huge glasses of wine and licking up the drips from the top of the bottle! LOL

I THINK GOLD will learn he can not love Lacey with her being dark. It just will not be the same. She will not be someone that inspires him in the same way.
