O…kay.
I hope it’s not Sydney’s demise but I think it’s more likely the defeat of the Ice Queen (EM’s character). Didn’t someone mention there’s a mirror in the original Snow Queen story? Pan was defeated in 3×09, Zelena was taken down before the season three finale. It seems about right that our heroes would find a way to defeat the Snow Queen by 4×08.
This title looks awfully similar to 405’s title, “Breaking Glass”, so now I’m all confused…
Snow Queen: Come winds and serve your Queen. Sweep the World-make the heavens scream. Come – smash the mirror!
Narrator: It has begun. The pieces of glass are circling the world. Take care a splinter does not pierce your heart — or it will be turned to ice.
Also, Jerome Schwartz is one of the writers again, which likely means plenty of Will Scarlet.

Someone is getting an icy heart this episode?
Hmm, maybe. I remember there was speculation before that maybe Emma got hit with ice.

Just a thought, but what if the mirror in the title refers to the Wonderland mirror that Will and Ana travelled through to get to Wonderland? It could explain why Will would be sticking around for longer if his way to Wonderland was destroyed and he has to find an alternative means of transportation.

Keeper of FelixDidn’t someone mention there’s a mirror in the original Snow Queen story?
Yes, there was a magic mirror in the story by Hans Christian Anderson. According to Wikipedia:
An evil troll (called the “devil”)[2] has made a magic mirror that distorts the appearance of everything it reflects. It fails to reflect the good and beautiful aspects of people and things, while magnifying their bad and ugly aspects. The devil, who teaches a “devil school,” took the mirror and his pupils throughout the world, delighting in using it to distort everyone and everything; the mirror makes the loveliest landscapes look like “boiled spinach.” They tried to carry the mirror into Heaven with the idea of making fools of the angels and God, but the higher they lifted it, the more the mirror grinned and shook with delight, and it slipped from their grasp and fell back to earth, shattering into millions of pieces. These splinters — some no larger than a grain of sand — were blown around and get into people’s hearts and eyes, freezing their hearts like blocks of ice and making their eyes like the troll-mirror itself, seeing only the bad and ugly in people and things.

“Breaking Glass” of course made me think of Sidney Glass–the man the magic mirror–whom we saw be enslaved once again in the mirror by Regina. But of course, now we have another reference to broken mirrors. My current guess is that the first 4×5 will be Regina’s story, which will relate to the Snow Queen’s story in 4×8.
