Rumple says to Kind Georg that their is wand that he desires that belongs to the fairy godmother of his family. Maybe he wanted the stolen wand back. It could be that Robin got the bow from a fairy and she asked him, after the use of the wand that he returns it to her. This is also the reason Robin knows how to use it. After Belle is gone he is taking the wand back from the fairy and kills her of this time immediately.

Interesting eventually for discussing order / timeline of events, although no the least helpful: If you compare pictures of the room in the castle, there are a few changes. About where the sofa stands, on which Belle sits reading a book when Rumple discovers that Hood is gone, we can see in “Skin Deep” the spinning wheel. The spinning wheel stands here in “Lacey” close to the exit to the entry hall, on the other side of the room, near the covered mirror. The wand is on display next to the sword, the sword we can see as well in “Deep Skin”, but to its right there you see the wooden puppets (Geppetto’s parents). Looks like Rumple liked to do some redecoration every other day 😉 (think in this case they did mess up and produced a classical continue error, like they already did with Neal’s apartment IMO)
The biggest difference in that room, which is actually a significant glitch by the CGI department, is that in Lacey the curtains are open. In Skin Deep there’s a big deal made about how he’s had the curtains nailed shut, and it’s implied they’ve been that way for some time, until she yanks them open. She does that when she’s wearing the blue dress, which she doesn’t have yet in Lacey.
If the same people who buggered that background up, also randomly decided how many scratch marks to put on the wall, then we shouldn’t put much stock in how many scratch marks there are. If she was actually only there for a couple of months, then we could have…
Rumple kills the fairy godmother and takes her wand
Cinderella meets and marries Thomas and gets pregnant
Belle goes to live with Rumple
Robin steals the wand
Belle leaves Rumple and ends up with Regina
Rumple is imprisoned

…and it would all fit in the space of about 8 months, which it would have to if Snow was 4 weeks along at Cinderella’s wedding.April 23, 2013 at 12:18 pm #188026tiara_roseParticipantPhee your timeline isn’t working, because Snow has to be pregnant first, therefore Cindarellas Storyline is too early.
But this what you said about the curtains is true. They should really be closed. I think they did it to show us which time of the year it is. It looks like it is summer or autumn. In this time of the year it is normal to have the curtains open. When it is winter Rumple shut them that no cold come in. Maybe something he do also as a poor spinner in his former live. He could not afford windows at this time so he nailed the small holes with wood and woven fabric. When sping is coming you can open evrything to let the warm and the sun in. So for me it was OK that they do it open, also to help how long was with him as his prisoner. Almost a year in my opinion. Late summer until Spring.Heros don't get their Happy Ending!

CurseFirst let me just say I was really interested to see what had happened in this thread overnight after I finally talked myself into going to bed. 😆 This timeline…oh boy. Also, Adam never responded to my tweet sadly. It’s up to us!
I do agree that the wands look very much alike and that they are probably going to be the same one because that’s a better story to tell to tie everything together (except someone has to explain HOW Rumple got the wand back to use in QoH). Also, thanks for tweet Adam gave out about Snow being 4 weeks pregnant at Ella’s wedding. That means Ella and Thomas got married about 9 months before the curse and Charming and Snow got married about 10months-12 months before the curse. Except all the events between Snow and Charming before their big wedding from the pilot become really squished together, including taking back the kingdom. I don’t think this all could happen in one year. It’s more like 2 or 3 years. So maybe the marks on Belle’s wall really do indicate that she was trapped by Regina for 3 years. Meaning she had lived with Rumple 3 years before the curse, for a period of about 4 months. This would have to mean that Ella and Thomas has a really long engagement in order to get the wand back into this.
Thus:Rumple kills Fairy Godmother (3 years before curse)
Ella and Thomas met and get engaged (3 years before curse)
Belle comes to live with Rumple (3 years before curse)
Events of Lacey (3 years before Curse)
Events of Skin Deep and The Outsider (3 years before Curse)
**significant gap where all the Snowing events take place, including taking back the kingdom**
Snow and Charming marry (1 year before curse)
Thomas and Ella marry (8ish months before curse)"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"April 23, 2013 at 1:32 pm #188041PheeParticipant@tiara_rose wrote:

Didn’t mention it in my timeline list, but I’m assuming that Snow got pregnant just before Rumple met Cinderella, which would make her about 4 weeks pregnant by the time of Cinderella’s wedding, (like Adam tweeted she was). So everything actually on my list played out in the 8 – 9 months before the curse, which adds up to Snow delivering Emma as a full term baby on Curse Day. Cinderella has to have gotten pregnant not long after Snow did, because Emma was born on Curse Day, and Ella’s baby was born not long after time started moving in SB, so she was around 8 months pregnant on Curse Day.

The impression I got from his curtains being closed was that they’d always been that way so that no light could get in, (he is the Dark One), and more importantly, so that no one could spy through his windows, (he had the mirror covered also to prevent spying from Regina). His curtains weren’t just drawn closed, they were nailed closed, (Belle joking asked if they were and he seriously answered that yes, they were), which I found to be symbolic, as opposed to practical.

If I ever happen to be online when he offers to answer questions, I’m totally asking him too.

Ok so all the drama of Snowing had to happen before Rumple met Cinderella. We know that on the day Charming wakes up Snow, Rumple has already lost Belle because he tells Charming that his true love his dead. Which means Rumple and Belle’s time together needs to be set further back in time and Rumple killing the Fairy even further than that. It would be really helpful to know what events were happening to Snow and Charming while Belle was with Rumple. Is there anyway we can figure that out?
We know that it was about a month in between Snow and Charming meeting for the first time and Snow going to find Charming at George’s castle.

Just wondered if perhaps he could have been referring to Milah as opposed to Belle there, but “a brief flicker of light amidst an ocean of darkness,” sounds more like Belle. And he likely wouldn’t have referred to Cora as being dead. So yes, that confuses matters again if he was indeed talking about having lost Belle on the day that Charming woke Snow, which likely happened before he stole the wand from the fairy godmother, because that means he didn’t have the wand while Belle was with him.
My head hurts.
I had a coffee just before, but now feel the need for something stronger.
April 23, 2013 at 2:37 pm #188050KebParticipantThe fact that Belle knew Dreamy and Snow met Grumpy early in her relationship with Charming (my timeline says approximately a month after meeting Charming is when she meets Grumpy–in 7:15 A.M., Red says it’s been a month when she brings supplies and news that Charming’s about to get married) means that Belle had to have been cast out before Snow met Charming (or at least simultaneously).
Even if we give her a little time to track down the Yaoguai and drown her sorrows at the tavern, Belle probably wasn’t free for more than a month before Regina abducted her. Regina wasn’t going to let a prize like that escape easily, and besides, her visit to Rumple in Skin Deep seems like the first one since Belle’s banishment from the Dark Castle. Since presumably Snow is not pregnant before she marries Charming (at least one of the times?) and certainly not yet when she meets Grumpy, there’s got to be at least 8 months of imprisonment for Belle at the barest minimum (Emma was born early but not -that- early).
Cinderella’s wedding was after Snow and Charming’s, I’m pretty sure, because they attended as a couple and a happy one at that–so it was at least after they had taken back the kingdoms. Her pregnancy is almost simultaneous with Snow’s, because she gives birth on the fifth day of Emma’s return to Storybrooke–which means that Alexandra would have been five days younger than Emma if not for the curse.
Rumple didn’t know where Ella’s fairy godmother was until he traded Charming to George for the info, so Cinderella’s ball has to happen after that event. That happened a little over a month before Snow met Grumpy, and Belle tells Rumple that she’s had a couple of months to look around when she asks him about Bae’s clothes just before he sends her for straw. The events of Lacey seem to be less than a week after her arrival at the Dark Castle.
I don’t think there’s any way it could be the same wand if the fairy godmother had possession of it until Rumple killed her.
And,honestly, three years before the curse makes sense for the events of Skin Deep, because so much happens in either that final year or those final years. I kind of want to do an analysis of Rumple’s behavior to look at how -he- changes post-Belle compared to pre-Belle in FTL which might offer some clues but I should be working on my master’s essay just now.

April 23, 2013 at 2:45 pm #188054HappyEndingsSpectatorMaybe what some should ask Adam is whose wand was it instead so we can go from there.
April 23, 2013 at 2:48 pm #188056KebParticipantWell, Rumple did have a number of wands in his collection. It is interesting that these two look identical/the same and there could be an explanation–but it would have to involve the fairy getting the wand from Robin Hood at this point.
