Makes me wonder how the Owen/Ben father comforting son over loss of his mother fits into all this (it is this episode isn’t it?)..I mean they do like to do parallels.
Wonder if we’ll see YoungEmma giving up Henry in this ep? That could parallel to Owen losing his mother. If Owen ends up being James, then they could have the adopted son losing his mother in FTL and Regina adopting a son in SB. And because James was a blood relation to Henry, it keeps both storylines anchored by the one family.
Of course, if Owen is James, then Ben will be George, which should mean we’ll see him in SB. Now I’m back to wondering if somehow he’s Regina’s bio dad. Then they could tie it all together perfectly by having Regina bond with her son, while her father, who she may not even know is her father, struggles with not having ever been able to connect with his daughter. Meanwhile, we see FTL flashbacks to him being very close to his (secretly) adopted son.
Perhaps?
😆 The possible connections are beginning to seem overwhelming…but I agree this would work especially what you’ve posted in that first paragraph.

They’ll be rocking the parent/child theme pretty hardcore for a few eps there, so it wouldn’t surprise me if that’s all a build up to them showing how Regina got Henry.
That is a very good theory. Season 2 will answer most of the major questions that we’ve been asking since S1. Now, Eddy and Adam are throwing answers at us left and right. Since we’ll be learning answers in such a short span of time, I think they must planning to take the show in an entire new direction at the end of S2 and leading up to S3!

It’s been speculated on other threads that “Owen” could be a young Hook. Also, I wonder if “Owen” could be a young huntsman and Ben his father since Jamie Dornan is on set.
Wow 😮 😯 I have never seen that theory before about the Huntsman being Hook’s dad. That would be something.
I also think another theme (regarding parents), mistakes parents made with their kids. I want to believe that Cora realizes she made mistakes with Regina, but highly doubtful. I think she just misses the control she used to have.

Oh no, I didn’t mean that the huntsman is Hook’s dad. They’re two different theories. There’s no way the huntsman could be Hook’s dad, since Hook is chronologically older than Graham. Hook is almost as old as Rumple and has been living in Neverland, not aging, for about 250 years. Graham/Huntsman was only about 60 when Emma came to SB. Graham looked about 32 in FTL and another 28 years passed in SB without anyone aging, making Graham about 60 when he died. The first theory is that “Owen” could be a young Hook. My other, different theory is that “Owen” could be a young huntsman and “Ben” is the huntsman’s father.

New theory about Owen/Ben. Owen could be a young Greg. Benjamin Stockham looks enough like Ethan Embry with the blue eyes that it can work, and since we’re going back to 1983, it’s definitely plausible that Greg was 10 years old at that time since I don’t think this show takes place exactly in 2013 but a little bit before that I believe. Plus, Embry will be 36 this year even if he looks younger, so he’s in the right age range for someone who would be in their late 30s to early 40s on the show.
I don’t know how his father will fit in, but I think that when Storybrooke appeared, Greg and/or his father lived nearby, and either both of them or just one of them realized that something was going on. Then, I think that Henry’s book came out of the discovery of Storybrooke, which would fit The Golden Key’s theory that Greg is the author of Henry’s book. (Although in my theory it could either be Greg or his dad that is responsible, or maybe they even co-wrote it.)
While I’m not sure about all of The Golden Key’s reasons of why Greg is the author of Henry’s book, I do think that since they’re suppose to answer the question on who the author is this season and how it got to Storybrooke, that it makes the most sense out of all the characters that are on OUaT now and have been featured or are going to be featured in the latter half of the season, that Greg makes the most sense. While it could still be the Blue Fairy, assuming that it’s not a totally new character, since she’s been on sporadically this season, if the author of Henry’s book and how it got to him are suppose to be big reveals, I can’t see it being her. Of course, it might turn out not to be a big deal.
