I never watched it but now all I can think when I see this title is Cagney and Lacey. Like getting a song stuck in my head.
Same here. The first thing that popped into my head was the announcer’s voice on a ride at Disney who says “Cagney and Lacey!”
Wish I knew something about it other than it’s title to make an educated inference. Wiki was no help to me. 😕[adrotate group="5"]Keeper Nealfire's/Bae's scarf, Henry and Neal's bribery ice cream sundae, Baelfire's sword, the coconut map, and more.

I don’t think Mr. Gold has a first name. I think it’s one of those plays on the original Rumple fairy tale where his name was his closest secret. I think when the creators sat down and created him, they decided to have his SB name be a kind of tongue in cheek reference to the fairy tale.
I think I recall an interview in which Adam and Eddy said we’d find out Mr.Gold’s first name in S2. I believe the producers deliberately kept his first name a secret for a later story development, in a similar vain to how they kept David’s fairy-tale name a secret for “Tiny”. We could see a parallel story in modern-day SB where someone has to guess Mr. Gold’s first name the way the miller’s daughter had to guess Rumpelstiltskin’s name in FTL.

ETA: and to have a name for a title makes it sound like this episode will revolve around this person (assuming it is a name and not something else entirely)…which makes me think this may be someone completely new (perhaps just my thinking)…maybe those saying this is Greg’s Her are correct and we’ll be introduced to her in this episode like we were introduced to Dreamy(Grumpy) in Dreamy (that is the only other name title isn’t it?…can’t remember).
Yes, I know that Dr. Whale technically has had two episodes this; although I think “The Doctor” was actually a Regina-centric episode, I’m just not sold on Belle having two episodes this season since she only got her first one after the winter break.
There’s just so many questions, imo, that they’ve said that they would get to before the end of the season like who HER is, and I have a feeling that Greg and HER might be at least one set of villains to watch out for next season that I think this might be about something or someone other than Belle.
I do love the theories about Belle being Lacey, but they really haven’t focused that much on just Belle this year, that I’m not sure they’ll actually give her two centric-episodes, especially one so close to the finale.
Lacey Gold doesn’t work for me. I think Gold is going to be involved heavily in the next few episodes…I just don’t see them devoting a whole episode to him that quickly after Manhattan especially if it winds up being his backstory.
Yes, I don’t think it will be about Gold either. I’m predicting if his name isn’t Adam like Disney’s Beast was, then it will be something like he didn’t actually have a first name like how Charming’s name looks like it was David all along.

That’s all I can think of too. 😆

Interesting! *but I kinda hope it’s not Lacey*

February 2, 2013 at 6:28 pm #171385angiebelleParticipantI don’t think Lacey would be Mr. Gold. In today’s society- of which Storybrooke is supposed to be a part of, Lacey is usually a girl’s name. I just can’t imagine Gold with such a feminine first name.
February 2, 2013 at 6:37 pm #171387tiara_roseParticipantI mean the one, who enacted the course was Regina and I think Regina would be cruel enough to give him the name Lacey, after all that was her HAPPY ENDING and this was her revenge for his “Pleases” in the contract. He said he wanted comfort, not a good name.
Heros don't get their Happy Ending!
February 2, 2013 at 7:18 pm #171389lilredParticipantIn the odd chance ‘Lacey’ isn’t the name of a person/character – Lacey Township, New Jersey is pretty much along the Jersey Shore line – and if Nealfire is true, this could be the location Bae entered this world (based on Neal’s wanted poster..) But part of me is just wanting some Dylan Schmid backstory before the actor gets too much older. 😆
February 2, 2013 at 7:24 pm #171390tiara_roseParticipantLil’Red I think it is a great idea. I mean if it is a Neal/Bae story it could be definitely a city name (Talahassee, Manhattan). This is not a odd idea.

February 3, 2013 at 2:10 am #171406the fairestParticipantI’m torn between so many theories right now. My brain can’t take it anymore! 😯
I’m going to place my bet on this episode being about either Greg’s “Her,” Belle’s Storybrooke persona, Mother Superior (maybe her name in Storybrooke is Lacey), or possibly a town called Lacey.
I also like the theory of Lacey possibly being Mr Gold’s first name. The meaning behind the name describes Mr. Gold perfectly and the producers stated in an interview from last year that we would learn Mr. Gold’s first name in season 2. So, that would be cool. Maybe we’ll get a flashbak of Mr. Gold before Emma came to town.
