I’m not sure how I would feel if Tamara were being controlled by PP. Most of us do not like her and but if she were being controlled by PP, I don’t think some of us could easily forgive Tamara for all that she’s done so far.

I second this. I don’t want Tamara under PP’s influence. I want to not like her and not feel bad for her because she is a pretty terrible person. I want to know her backstory, why she thinks magic is so bad but having her free will taken away seems a bit excessive.Yes. I totally agree.

I wonder what Peter Pan could possibly want with the heart of the truest believer. Perhaps he needs it to break a possible curse that envelopes NL. Yet, in order for Peter to get this heart, it sounds like Henry’s life would be over.Hmmm, the first part of that might be possible. As far as Henry dying, I would not worry.

Yeah, I wouldn’t worry. They won’t kill the 11 yr old on a Sunday night 8pm show about fairy tales. Especially this one where Henry is the character around whom most of our characters revolve.
However, that doesn’t mean PP couldn’t take his heart, a la Regina the Evil Queen.

When I think of the word believer, I think Henry more of Tamara. Also, I think that the reason why Peter Pan is coming after Henry is because of the fact that he wants Henry’s heart which is probably why the episode is called The Heart of the Truest Believer.
Keeper of Tamara's death, Cyrus's bottle, Ariel's red hair, and the mermaid that got turned into a statue in the season 3 premiere episode.

July 2, 2013 at 11:33 pm #199223PheeParticipantAfter reading all of the posts in the thread, I like the idea of the title referring to multiple characters. But, I especially like the idea that it could refer to both Tamara and Henry. Perhaps we’ll get Tamara’s backstory in a flashback and we’ll get to see what Peter Pan wants with Henry’s heart, since he was a true believer in magic and the curse before anyone else would take him seriously.
This is what I’m thinking too. The “truest believer” on this show since day 1 has been Henry, but if they making him the focus of the ep, (which let’s face it, he will be, because GOAT have him, PP wants him, Charmingstiltskins&Co are going to save him, Nealfire wants to get back to him, and if we get any stuff in SB in ep 1, people there will be worried about him too, so even if it’s technically an ensemble ep, it’ll still be pretty Henry centric), they can’t do flashbacks with him, (I’m assuming the story of when he came to SB won’t be something they tackle in ep 1, and that’s the only option for Henry flashbacks).
With the focus essentially being Henry, showing FTL flashbacks for characters aren’t with Henry could be harder to tie in. But GOAT are with Henry, and we still need a backstory on Tamara, so we may see how she became a “true believer” through flashbacks.
July 2, 2013 at 11:36 pm #199224RumplesGirlKeymasterI don’t know if we’ll have an FTL flashback in the first episode. We didn’t for “Broken.” It was present day SB, present day FTL, and briefly present day NYC. They have a lot of ground to cover in episode one assuming they want to show every character at least once: present day NL, prsent day SB, and present day FTL. Let’s say that the present day SB storyline will be very brief, just Belle putting up the barrier. That leaves more room for flashbacks of Tamara if the focus is both on Henry in present day NL with GOAT and Tamara becoming a true believe in the past, but in our world.

Present day SB could be as brief as NYC was in “Broken”, just a few moments right at the start to establish that Belle’s put the barrier up. That could actually lead quite nicely into flashbacks of Tamara’s history with THO, considering that’s who Belle’s trying to keep out with the barrier spell.
At some point they have to show how Tamara got involved in that mess, and showing her dealing with Henry, and the realisation that she’s been unwittingly working for PP, would be the perfect time to tell that backstory.
July 2, 2013 at 11:48 pm #199228HappyEndingsSpectatorRemember the episode about “Lacey” and no one knew who or what this could mean, I wonder if this is the same kind of thing so maybe it is Henry, but I still am leaning towards David as he too has a true heart.
I think we will see NL, with Tamara/Owen arriving with Henry, then we will would to FL
July 3, 2013 at 12:01 am #199230RumplesGirlKeymasterI think we will see a bit of each land in present day, with the JR crew and NL being more in the focus than FTL and SB. It’s a matter of flashbacks. The pilot had to have them, but Broken didn’t. But neither opener focused on a single person but rather everyone. If they follow that pattern then the title may not refer to a single person either. It could refer to multiple people, as I’m inclined to think it does: Henry, Tamara and maybe even Emma or Charming.
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"July 3, 2013 at 12:19 am #199231PheeParticipantThe title certainly can relate to multiple characters, no doubt about that. “Truest” sounds specific to one person though.
GOAT are the truest believers we’ve seen thus far on the side of the badguys. We already know how Greg justifies his beliefs and commitment to the cause, it’s Tamara who is the blind true believer judging on what we’ve seen so far.
Henry is the truest believer we’ve seen thus far on the side of the goodguys. Even when he was the only person in SB who believed, even when Regina tried to get a shrink to talk him out of it, and when Emma kept telling him she didn’t believe it too, Henry still stuck fast to being a true believer.
And Henry is with Tamara, so you’ve got the two main “true believers” stuck with each other at this point in time. That’s what’s making me think they’re the specific ones the title refers to, even though it can really apply to multiple characters in different ways, and we’ll likely see in this ep how each of the other characters believe so strongly in their own views.
PS. Four pages so far trying to dissect a simple episode title. We are nuts. I heart the spoiler forum! LOL 🙂
